  1. I just don't get how guys like Anderson and Chi Chi Gonzalez keep getting chances from multiple organizations year after year when they keep proving they can't pitch any longer.
  2. Just think how lousy averages would be if they called errors like they used to. No way that ball hit to a Mike Schmidt in his day is called a hit.
  3. He was getting trashed in June and July when his FIP was under 4 which is ok and right where it was last year. He's been horrible with inherited runners throughout his career so he never should be brought in that situation. Unfortunately CC hasn't figured that out still.
  4. I never quite got all the Suter bashing earlier this year but I doubt he's really tradeable. For anything of value anyway. A pretty strong non-tender candidate to me.
  5. But he wasn't signed to play only against lefties at that stupid salary. That's why I was 100% against his signing from the beginning.
  6. McCutchen has effectively been done for four years now. There will still be another team out there throwing way too much money at him next year.
  7. I too thought that one was in the bag. With the bullpen, stupid me. Another starter pulled pretty early I see. Glad CC is keeping all of our starters, except Burnes, fresh for the playoffs.
  8. Which positional player will get the call today?
  9. The trade was a puzzler but doesn't change the fact that Hunter is not an all-star.
  10. I'm not going to say it's exactly a useful stat, but Box is one of the worst in the league in allowing inherited runners to score. Perhaps the combination of those two stats would indicate he might not be the guy you call on in such situations.
  11. Boxberger with his 8th blown save. Leads the league. Bush and Rogers are right behind. That's the race I'll be watching this September.
  12. Most starters see their pitch counts rise as they build up arm strength. Peralta has basically gone from 90 to 80 to 70. So are we trying to weaken him? Not sure I understand the mentality.
  13. 1-0 nothing game and both starters are out. What has happened to baseball?
  14. .582 OPS against non-Brewers. 1.126 against Brewers. That's ridiculous.
  15. 4 blown saves already for Bush in his Brewers tenure.
  16. How about benching McCutchen for the rest of the year (against RHP) please.
  17. I'd rather have seen Davis in that situation.
  18. Apparently they just had to call Mitchell up for Yelich and the offense to take off.
  19. He has a .400 OBP in those games so I wouldn't say it's exactly NOTHING.
  20. Another pitcher we are protecting for the playoffs?
  21. I read Rotoworld (and do so throughout the season) for player news. Outside of that, don't really follow at all. Might catch a game or two, or parts of, when the Brewers televise a ST game.
  22. Never understood the trade on so many levels. Not the least is the guy has a 4.68 ERA and 1.50 WHIP since 2015. Had a 20 inning run in the funky pandemic season, hasn't pitched since yet he still is a guy to trade for? The only thing impressive about Rosenthal is his agent. He's extracted about $35 million for his client since 2015. All for a pitcher who basically put up 0 WAR since that time.
  23. Please don't include me, and I suspect the majority, in saying we are enjoying this brand of baseball right now.
