  1. Yeah, it's only 2 games in a long season, but there's no denying these were 2 ugly and disappointing losses, especially today's.
  2. That’s fine, but it takes more than one guy to cover one inning when the starter only goes 5. Cousins also had a significant hiccup in the game against the Reds when he uncorked consecutive wild pitches and gave up a single with the bases loaded to turn a 2-0 lead into a 3-2 deficit. To me, the much bigger problem is only scoring 2 or 3 runs or less in games against mediocre pitching. If the Brewers don’t add some runs here they will have lost 7 of their last 12 and scored 3 or fewer runs in every one of the losses, and only 14 total in the 7 games. It takes almost perfect pitching to overcome that. And perfect defense too; at least not this shabby display in the field
  3. I guess "that's baseball." You "make a statement" by sweeping a division rival on the road, then carelessly throw away 2 home games against a team that's dead last in their division. It's pretty sad. They'd better get it together for the White Sox or it'll be a lost weekend.
  4. Yikes - play some defense! Called a hit, but Adames knows it was an error
  5. The Brewers lost games by 2-0, 4-3 and 3-1 margins last weekend, and there were a few here ready to crown the Reds. Well, the Brewers just beat them three times by 11-6, 7-4 and 8-0 margins. They just swept a team that we were told by several members here is MUCH better than them after those close losses. Did the Brewers get that much better in a week? Or was it just baseball? Guilty of pessimism and a lack of perspective. But I repent! A very impressive weekend by the crew. It's still a long season, but that was a strong statement of intentions.
  6. I don't think they've been all that outplayed. The games have been close. Close yes. But which team had the nerve and skill at the plate when it counted?
  7. It's kinda hard to think we have a lead now. Cincy is playing like the champs right now.
  8. The Yelich call was terrible and harmful. But overall, the Reds have played like the first place team while the Brewers looked hapless. With this dodgy offense, the pitching has to be perfect, and it's not.
  9. These umps seem to have lost touch with the game. Very shabby. Send this crew to AAA (Or AA?)
  10. Coaches coach, hitters hit. What difference does it make? You think a new coach is going to whisper some different words in the ears of Yelich and Hiura and they’ll start to rake? I don't know if things would improve but I see no downside whatsoever. Haines is flat out not good at his job. Hear hear!
  11. This loss is on me. When I tuned in, we had the lead and a no-hitter. Then the stupid shift and a hit. Then... Oh &$@/$*! Sorry.
  12. It's hard to say Suter disappoints because one expects so little these days. Also, Does Hader turn into a pumpkin after 1 inning?
