Making the situation even more humerous was the fact that last night Girardi actually pinch ran for Molina (although it does seem that he was hurt), but by doing so, he lost his DH for the game, as Posada had to become the catcher. It was a 2 run game at the time (8th inning), so it really could have created a problem with the pitcher's spot in the lineup. Posada then had to go out and catch and the Red Sox promptly stole 2 bases without a throw...so the Yankees apparently have been operating without a real backup catcher all this time. Why wouldn't they be more proactive and having one on the roster? Not only did they lose the DH, they also let the Red Sox tack on a free insurance run in the 9th inning of a relatively close game.

Maybe it's just my personal taste, but I don't view her as all that attractive. Not that it really matters, I do think she is doing a good job, eons better than Ann Carrol and she does tend to know what she's talking about. She's certainly not ugly, I don't want to give the wrong impression, but I don't see her looks as bringing a whole lot to the male audience. I agree with Tbadder though, I already know most of what she is saying (or don't care to know sometimes) and I wish they would use that time to do some more "around the league" updates or something like that. -
Fat Iricho would be fun...though I'd like to point out that the real Ichiro DOES have more dingers than Prince right now....

It wasn't even so much that they beat her up, kids get in fights all the time...but the way that they did was just disgusting. I mean, one slap or something would have gotten the point across just fine. Again, it's one thing to hit someone, something completely different to basically torture a girl. But I seriously had that image burned into my mind for a good hour after lunch, it was just that disturbing. I hadn't heard that a mom was on this morning (I saw the victims parents on as I was leaving), but to come on and say that this girl has it coming makes you come off as a GIANT jacka$$....which obviously she is.

I was just on lunch at McDonalds and they always have CNN or MSNBC or something to that nature on and I almost always just block it out, but I looked up today and they were showing a video of a girl in Florida getting the living snot kicked out of her. Apparently..if I have this story right, is that a group of kids (roughly 14-18 years old) somehow or other lured this girl back to a house. When they got to the house, they basically cornered her in a room and took turns punching, slapping, etc. She tried to leave several times but was cornered and punched even more severly. They even had 2 boys standing outside the door as lookouts. The girl was beaten so badly that she had a severe concusion, eye and ear damage. It lasted approximately 30 minutes. Oh and to top it all off...it's all on video because the people beating her up wanted to post the entire thing on YouTube....so you have an incredibly vicious beating of a 14-15 year old girl, on video tape....it's incredibly disturbing and hard to watch. Did anyone else see this? I think I have most of the story correct.

I also have DirecTV and was none too happy to find out that the Milwaukee affiliate of CBS doesn't broadcast in HD through DirecTV. It seems to only be the Milwaukee affiliate, as I could purchase 4-5 other CBS channels (west coast, etc.) and those have HD channels with them. The NFL games with Superfan also came in on HD on CBS affiliates, just not the local channel 58 in Milwaukee, so while I have a big TV and pay for HD, I still had to watch Wisconsin in non-HD....and it sucked. Anyone know why this is or if they ever intend to change it? I called when I first got it and asked why I didn't have it because I thought something was wrong and they simply told me that it's not a channel they are currently offering in HD, but it has to be just the Milwaukee affiliate on DirecTV.

I had a professor in Whitewater named Richard Cummings...think about it. I also work at a payroll company, and while I can't remember most of them, I've seen some absolutely hilarious names. I'll keep my eyes open.

So....2 big breaks for the Cubs in the last inning...it would be really deflating for them to blow a 7-0 lead to the Pirates....I missed the steal, but was it that bad?

Nope. I mean, we're not going to root for them to win, are we? Very true...but it is only the second week of April and I'm glued to the game as if the season hinges on it.

In my opinion, that what happens when you make a guy like Ted Lilly your #2 starter. I just don't view anyone in that rotation to be anything more than a #4 starter (not including Zambrano of course). Rich Hill could be solid, but Dempster, Lilly and Marquis just aren't that good. Since Lilly and Marquis were way better than career norms last year....let's hope they regress to way worse than norms this year....

I've gone a couple times by myself for various different reasons, and it is a different experience, as you really have nothing else to do (no conversation or jokes unless you are comfortable with strangers) than to focus solely on the game. It's also a bit odd when something good happens and you want to stand up and cheer...but then you're by yourself. You can get a pretty nice seat though, looking for just one. -
For those of you with Extra Innings, are you in the Milwaukee area? I looked into getting it but was under the impression that Cubs games would be blacked out (somehow Milwaukee is in their home area). 8-5 now...though the Bucs have a couple on...

I saw some tailgating police on Friday, they were riding around in sets of 3 on their bikes. I didn't see them actually do anything, but they were out there, at least on the edges of the General Parking lot.

My seats are also significantly worse than last year (same number of people, same level - 400), and all of my games are way, way down the lines. It was my understanding also that as I got more years (I have 5 now) the seats would gradually get better, but to hear that they gave priority to their set packs and not your longevity with them really irks me. -

My GF was pretty upset when I did it initially...mainly because I didn't tell, I just did it. Though we were just starting to date at the time. She actually likes the shaved head look now, so that's cool. I have off of work next week, so I really want to try it then in case it just looks silly!

It might be easier to sneak McClung threw waivers in a couple of weeks than it is right now? Or would that not make a difference? When Yo comes back, I assume it's McClung to go...?

Has anyone seen the ball being thrown back at Wrigley in the PS2 version? I've only hit 2 there so far (in road to the show) and I can hear the "throw it back" chants, but the ball never gets tossed...anyone? Also, I assume most of you that are in the RTTS are using the Brewers, have you noticed that the team get ripped apart? I'm in the 2010 season and Fielder, Hardy and Sheets have all been traded. I hardly recognize anyone on the roster and it's only 2 years from now....it makes playing the game not so fun....

With opening day next week, I'm looking for some new ideas. We're pretty much set with the brats that we make, but I'm getting a bit bored with the condiments and such that I use (for a brat...I usually use either Stadium Sauce or sweet Baby Ray's, along with some dijon mustard and a generous helping of warmed saurkrat). What do you guys put on brats and/or hot dogs? Anything exiciting I could be trying?

I can't find anyone that actually knows how to do this, but I'm guessing someone that reads this board can help me out. I've been shaving my head (with an electric razor) for the last 2-3 years. I always shave it with a "zero" level, which basically means there is no guard on the razor and it gets cut down to 1/8 of an inch, maybe shorter. I've decided that I want to try the "completely bald" look. I've seen on TV shows where people put shaving cream on heads and use a razor to shave it, but this just doesn't seem to be the best tactic. Has anyone ever gone with the Mr. Clean look? And if so, how did you go about it? Is there a specific brand/model of razor I should use? It doesn't seem like the one I use on my face (Mach 3 Turbo) would really work all that well, as it doesn't really bend and my head is pretty round. Where do I go about getting these products? Thanks for the help.
