  1. Do you guys really think he wouldn't want to play in Milwaukee because some idiot fan was greedy after catching his homerun ball?
  2. Gomez is the reigning gold glove winner and I don't think it's even remotely close between him and McCutchen, yet Gomez is in LF? Really Matheny?
  3. They may not even keep Wiggins at this point. The rumor I've seen is that they have had a deal in place for Kevin Love, but Love was only interested if James signed. Now that he has, they may very well make that trade. The Wolves have apparently insisted on Wiggins being part of that deal. Doesn't make it true, but that's the rumor I've seen. They just signed Irving to a max deal, now LeBron. Not sure how they could afford Love but maybe they could figure something out. Cavs will likely sign one or two of LeBron's groupies now too - Mike Miller or Ray Allen. So to recap for Cleveland. James leaves for four years. Cavs get THREE number one overall picks and another pick in the top 5. James then returns as arguably a better player than when he left. Must be rough huh? They now have FOUR #1 overall picks on their roster, plus 2 other top 5 selections.
  4. Yep. My brother got big into the Brewers this year for the first time in a while and called all excited at some point in May. I just said, well, wait and see. I was hoping it was real that they could dominate, but a close race is much more realistic. If they can turn it around quick, it's far from over. But, it is less fun to watch. I think everyone kinda knew we weren't going to play .700 baseball all year, but I don't think anyone in their wildest dreams expected that we would lose 10 of 11 games including a 4 game home sweep by the Phillies.
  5. I don't feel like laughing. I feel like crying. I know that's sad and I shouldn't care this much....but I do. The season is literally crumbling to pieces right in front of us. It's just frustrating and heartbreaking to watch. This is more than just a rough patch. Losing 10 of 11 and swept in 4 by a horrible Phillies team is just bad baseball. It's like they morphed into the worst team in MLB over night. The entire offense went into a slump. The pitching's been awful. We've found ways to lose games. It's just a game and I'm just a fan and maybe I care too much, but this is making me want to cry a lot more than laugh.
  6. 5 runs and counting. ALL WITH TWO OUTS. Unbelievable. I'm not watching so I don't know if these are unlucky or not, but the odds of that happening are miniscule, yet we've managed to do it. The July 2014 Brewers - the worst team in MLB. Finding ways to lose games. I mean, this is almost unfathomable. The Phillies are awful. One of the worst offenses in baseball. 3-13 over the last 3 weeks and they come in and beat the crap out of us.
  7. He completely mismanaged that entire inning IMO. Left Garza in far too long. Brought in Smith to face Rollins batting RH with 1b open and a lefty on deck. With all the lefties coming up, why not just let Smith or Duke start the inning? And why the hell can't we ever end innings?? Virtually every run the Phillies have scored in this series has been with 2 outs. Well now it's over for sure.
  8. Nice job RR. With 1b open and a lefty on deck, why would you pitch to Rollins there?? I know it's Utley, but come on. Play the odds. Smith has been terrific against lefties. This was a game we couldn't afford to lose.
  9. Depends what significant is, I wish Jim Henderson from 2013 was on this team. I wish Braun from 2012 or any year previously was on this team too.
  10. Why is Garza still in!!?? I would have pulled him after the walk for sure. I'm very, very nervous and scared right now. Man, we need this game badly.
  11. Could have done without the walk. Gotta bring Smith in here right???
  12. Only watching on gamecast, but could have done without an 0-2 double to the 8 hitter batting .160. UGH. Did I see that Homer Bailey also left his start with an injury today??
  13. A lot of injuries in the division, but it won't matter if the Brewers don't start playing better and winning some games. They haven't said anything on a timeframe for Votto, other than "it's an injury that is going to limit him the rest of the season". He looked terrible against the Brewers, he could barely even swing.
  14. Yup, and that's a huge plus for the Brewers as he's still awfully good and almost certainly the leader of that team. Same with Phillips. If they are both out 8-12 weeks (I haven't seen yet for BP), but that's a huge gain from the Brewers perspective.
  15. Couple more runs would sure be nice. Even one would be great.
  16. Being aggressive is one thing, but being just flat out stupid about is another. We're facing a pitcher that has struggled with control all year long (over 5 BB/9 innings). And yet, he manages to basically get through 8 innings around the 80 pitch mark. I'd like to think they are pressing and trying to do too much, but I just don't think that's the case. And basically the entire team is slumping at the plate - no power, no clutch hits and no runs. We're still in first, but we'll be extremely lucky to be there come Sunday. How does a team go 20 games over for 80 games and then just suddenly becomes the worst team in baseball (at least at this moment)? It's frustrating and sadly, it seemed like all of us were just waiting for this to happen. Maybe we'll rebound, but man it sure doesn't seem like it right now.
  17. Well said. And I agree 100%. This seems to be the fall we've all been waiting for. Just when we get our hopes high, we seem to come crashing back to earth. We could still figure it out obviously, and I'm still going to watch every game and hope for the best. That Cardinal series this weekend is looming REALLY large right now. And it doesn't look good the way we're playing.
  18. I know everyone is saying "rough patch" but at some point, this starts to become a pretty serious problem. Losing 7 of 8 is a pretty big deal. And the pressure just continues to mount as the THREE teams behind us continue to get closer and closer. It's really frustrating to watch.
  19. Yet another 2-0 count, a pitch borderline for a strike....let's swing and hit a pop-up. Down 2 runs in the 9th.
  20. Someone just get on base. Then we can hope and pray for a bomb.
  21. We have been assured that this division race is, in fact, over. Don't even worry about those teams. LOL. This actually made me laugh quite a bit. I've gotten into this conversation with said poster numerous times already.
  22. It's so frustrating that it makes me want to absolutely scream. 13 hits in the game, yet we're 1-7 with RISP. And it's seemingly been like this for 10 games now. And the Cardinals and Reds both win in walk-off fashion. Those teams are closing in on us in a hurry.
  23. It feels like the team is just dying for that one big hit. We've gotten a bunch of guys on lately, but just seemingly can't push anyone across the plate. Just how everything is going. Hit's an absolute rocket....for an out.
  24. Great bunt. I'd almost prefer him to swing there, but I'll take the hit. Now can anyone on this team get a big knock with RISP??
