  1. Here is the scouting report on Kodi Medeiros: Hawaii hasn't produced many pitchers over the last decade, but Medeiros has a chance to be the best in years with electric stuff despite a diminutive frame. He sits 90-92 mph with his fastball, and will occasionally touch 95 and has one of the stronger, quicker arms in the draft. His money maker is his slider, which outside of Carlos Rodon's slider is the best breaking ball of any pitcher in the class with ridiculous tilt and late break that will give left- and right-handed pitchers fits. Medeiros also throws a change on occasion that acts more like a split, but is a developmental pitch at best. Even if Medeiros is able to develop a third pitch, there's a great chance he won't be able to start because of his arm slot, which is borderline side-arm and would be as low or lower than any southpaw starter in baseball. He repeats his delivery well and throws strikes, but there are too many uphill battles to project him as an elite starter.
  2. Not only does "Bucks" make sense in that the animal is all over the place, but they've had the name for a long, long time. This isn't a new franchise. They haven't moved or anything, changing the name at this point seems just silly. Rarely, if ever, do teams just change their names after 50 years (without moving) unless there is political backlash or something like that (like if the Redskins changed their name for example).
  3. Agreed. And why limit it to just three? Some of the best factions were bigger - DX, the Nation, even NWO before it got stupid big. The 4 Horseman. Stables used to be awesome and they just seem to keep botching it. Also, if you really want to have a Shield member join Evolution, why not save that for a PPV? Seems like you wasted a big moment on RAW, and as you said, they broke up arguably the second best thing they had going (behind Bryan). I've read that all along the plan was for Ambrose to be the one to turn, but apparently they had a last minute change on that sometime right before the end of RAW last night and Rollins went instead. Not sure how I feel about that. It just doesn't make any sense. From a surprise standpoint, it kinda worked, but the timing just makes zero sense at all - as I stated, one day after a PPV when they faught (and won), they are super popular and quite frankly, nobody gives a rats ass about HHH or Orton. The Shield could have grown even larger. Quite frankly, I think that most fans just wish that HHH and Stephanie would just go away. It's one thing for people to hate you...it's another thing entirely when you make people want to change the channel. That's how I feel about both of them - I literaly FF every time they show up on TV.
  4. Rolins joining Evolution...blah. The Shield had to breakup sooner or later, but the timing of it makes very little sense. One day after they have that brutal match, he suddenly wants to join HHH? Just makes very little sense. Be interesting to see what happens I guess. The Shield almost has to get another member, just not many people on the roster make a lot of sense to me.
  5. I'd have to imagine that given his numbers in AAA this year, along with the number of really bad starting pitchers in baseball that a lot of teams would be willing to take a shot with him on the MLB level - just a matter of who. And if they feel they could sign him or feel compelled to trade for him. I don't have any suggestions or anything, but I'd have to imagine Doug is checking it out. We simply have no real room for him on the Brewers and with his great numbers, it wouldn't make any sense for him to not exercise the opt-out clause.
  6. With Brad Mills pitching lights out in AAA and his 6/15 opt out date approaching, what could we realistically get for him in a trade? I can't imagine he won't opt out given his success and the Brewers basically have no room for him anywhere on the MLB roster. I'd imagine a team that wants him would part with something to ensure they get him, once he opts out, he'd be free to sign anywhere he wants. I wouldn't expect much, but if we do trade him, what type of prospect could we get in return?
  7. Cardinals now down 5-0 in the 8th. Royals with a man on third and one out too.
  8. Wooten would seem the most logical choice to go back down. Does Kintzler have any options left? I'm not sure, but he's been struggling somewhat lately.
  9. Two infield hits in the inning, plus one for an RBI last inning. That's annoying. Wooten one out from his first career save and gets it yanked on that. Alright, come on Duke, let's not make this any more interesting.
  10. Not exactly what I had in mind. Just seems like we can't ever do things easy. One more runner and K-Rod will potentially be in. UGH.
  11. Kintzler deserves a spot on the roster, but he hasn't pitched well since returning from the DL. He's struggled a ton, yet despite that, RR moved him into the 8th inning role and refuses to move him. Don't get it. At least Wooten could come in and limit the damage.
  12. Braun now in sole possession of 4th all time with 707 RBI. Next up Molitor with 790 - could certainly be in range this season. Also closing in on second on the HR list, up to 219 now - 11 behind Prince.
  13. It's amazing that in a blowout, RR can still manage to irritate all of us and burn a bullpen guy for no reason.
  14. Nobody should be up at all unless this gets within 2-3 runs. Come on Thornburg, buckle down and get the last out here. Shouldn't be in the game in the first place.
  15. Good thing we took out Wang. GRRRR. And stop walking guys with a huge lead in the 9th.
  16. Thornburg?!?!!? Seriously Ron!??!?! It's an 8 run game...why in the hell are you taking out Wang? This is the EXACT scenario he should be pitching.
  17. It seems that any ball that's put in play off of Wang manages to fall in for a hit. He's been hit hard, but he's given up a bunch of soft hits so far this year, including right there. Really Ron? He's given up one hit and you get Thornburg up? Seriously? We're up 8 runs... Castillo...way to hustle there. He should have beaten that easily unless he got hurt. If it were my team, I'd bench him. 8 run deficit or not, there's no excuse to not run out a grounder - and he would have made it.
  18. Yeah. Say what you want about Herb Kohl as the acting owner or as a senator, but you have to give the man credit for this. Maybe it was for his own benefit from a legacy perspective - but the Bucks are staying in this state purely because of him. He could have sold the team several times - Jordan wanted to buy it at one point too - but he refused unless they kept the team here. Yeah, at his age and with his wealth, 200M likely wouldn't have made that much difference, but it's still pretty incredible that he would do that.
  19. Wasn't able to make the game tonight to get the pants or hardly any of the t-shirt games coming up....anyone have any extra pants? Or going to have any extra t-shirts they want to sell?
  20. So obviously an Orioles fan....clearly not remembering that Nelson Cruz got busted too huh?
  21. I agree. The Bucks have many holes. I guess we're just disagreeing on who that best player is. There's really no wrong pick here, it's just a fun debate.
  22. Gomez won't get voted in, but I can't see how he doesn't make the all-star team as a reserve. The numbers speak for himself. K-Rod has to be an all-start right now too I would imagine. That might be it though unless Braun somehow holds on to a spot - which would be stunning.
  23. True. They suck all around. But they were also missing their best post presence in Sanders for most of the season. He would have almost certainly improved their defensive and rebounding numbers. I can throw out horrible offensive stats too: 95.5 PPG - 28th overall 43.8% FG% - 26th overall 35.3% 3PT% - 20th overall IMO, we are a better defensive team than last year assuming Sander is healthy. Problem is, he doesn't help much on the offensive end. I'm not saying Embiid can't be good or won't help, I just think Wiggins or Parker would be much better options.
