  1. Bullpen has been atrocious in the last two games. We outscored them yesterday, but today feels like a game we gave away, barring a comeback here. Sure would be nice if our lefty specialist could actually GET A LEFTY OUT for a change.
  2. You gotta be kidding me here. First the hit. Then Weeks BOOTS it. Just absurd. I'm so mad right now.
  3. Please just get out of this inning tied somehow. Burgos goes 7 strong with 2 runs, Axford gives up the same two runs in 6 pitches. That's frusrating to say the least. That Braun at bat last half inning looms larger now too.
  4. Thanks Axford, took you all of 6 pitches to create a tie game. Awesome.
  5. Not what I had in mind Braun....this team has sure been failing a lot lately to just hit sac flies...ugh. At least we got the one back. Hope the bullpen can hold on again.
  6. I love you Jean Segura....thats not wrong is it? Come on Braun, put the nail in the coffin.
  7. One more clean inning would have been nice, but 7 innings, 2 earned runs for Burgos is pretty solid. In line for the win...let's get him a few insurance runs here!
  8. Why is this bad? If a manager thinks his pitcher can get a bunt down, might as well have him do it instead of wasting a PH. It seems like a waste for me. You're down two runs, you're giving up an out. Just to turn around and take him out? Why not use a PH and see if you can get a big inning? Or tie it up with a long ball? I don't get the "wasting a PH". That's what they are there for....there aren't that many games you run out of players because of PH...it's usually defensive subs or using two PH in one at bat that does this IMO.
  9. Was gamecast wrong or did Pitt just let their pitcher sac bunt (and fail) and then take him out for a reliever the next half inning?
  10. So at some point, Yuni is going to stop hitting I'm sure...but until then, enjoy the ride, because this is pretty awesome, especially coming from a completely unexpected (and mostly hated) source.
  11. Now that my channel is blacked out, resorting to the gamecast...and it sure looks like Burgos is getting an awful lot of the plate with his pitches...accurate?
  12. Missed a big chance there. Second and third, one out, then loaded and couldn't push any other runs across. At least made him throw some pitches, and at least we got the one.
  13. Segura reaches when Jones drops a ball at first base, promptly steals second and Braun with a solid single up the middle to score him. Gotta love it!
  14. For those with the Directv sports package, the Brewers game is on channel 659...it should be blacked out but it's not...at leat for now. For those of you that dislike the Brewers announce team, you need to turn this one on if possible. These guys are horrible, particularily the color guy, not certain who it is. And now it's blacked out, got 20 minutes at least. I hate having afternoon games not on TV!!!
  15. They'll probably keep him around just in case, long gu in the pen for the meantime. Unless they want another relief pitcher. What they need to do is send down Prince and Davis and get them some at bats. Really need Ramirez back, it's getting frustrating as they keep saying he's coming back, first on the road trip, then early homestand, now maybe this weekend. Really need him back so we can stop seeing Gonzalez in the lineup too.
  16. Is there anywhere to hear radio highlights online? JSO used to have them but I can't find it. Tonights game would be fun to listen to.
  17. LOL is out? I'm getting old in a hurry apparently. Two outs...nobody on...I might be in the minority here, but I'd retaliate and hit this guy here.
  18. It's a hitters park, and the Brewers have consistently bulit a roster to take advantage of that, but it's not like it's absurd. The fences are right in line if not deeper than most parks. Sure, the ball flies out sometimes with the right weather conditions, but how is that different than anywhere else? Wrigley with the wind blowing out or Yankee Stadium with the jetstream to the RF alley. Alright, come on Henderson. Not a save, and you've been warming up for awhile, but let's just get some nice easy outs here please.
  19. I'd love to hear that rationale from him sometime. The fences are pretty deep all way around compared to most parks. It's nothing like Cincy or Philly or even Yankee Stadium for that matter. The ball tends to fly out to the alleys some nights, but thats no different than most parks. I usually don't mind Harold but that's just a stupid comment.
  20. Can't fault the contact play with Gomez running, Yuni actually hit it hard too, just right at him.
  21. That probably wasn't intentional, but I'm tired of our guys getting hit. If we get the first two out in the 9th, I hope we drill someone right in the numbers.
  22. Can I retract my comment from the first page about him riding the bench for a game or two? I still believe he should have gotten some time off, but I'm glad he came through tonight. Hopefully it's a start of things to come and not a one game blip in a huge slump. Huge there though.
  23. I'd feel a lot better with an insurance run or two here. This is Augie's last game right? I know he's filling in on short notice, but yuck.
  24. Aside from the two 0-2 hangers, Axford actually looked pretty good that inning. Curve looked good, fastball hit 97 consistently, which he hasn't done all year.
