  1. Someone earlier in the thread said that you should have one portajohn for every 100 people anticipated at an event. I don't know where that number came from, if it was researched or not, but it sounds reasonable. If thats the case, the Brewers are essentially admitting that they are drastically inadequate, even WITH the extra ones for Opening Day. I'd also say that at least 30,000-35,000 people if not more are in the lots on Opening Day, putting it somewhere in the 300-350 to 1 ratio. Which if the 100-1 is what should happen, they are more than 3 times worse than should be expected. And people wonder why some fans bring their own.
  2. He may have made it back on time, but his weird slide didn't help. It almost looked like his front leg practically missed the base. Regardless, it shouldn't have been that close and agreed, pretty horrible base running the first two days. You could see he read it wrong off the bat, but you have to understand the situation. We're down 4 in the 8th inning, you scoring helps, but it's not THAT important. Worst case is it falls for a hit and we have guys at the corners - nobody would be yelling we played it safe on a ball that close.
  3. I'm not a fan at all of Luc in the 5 hole. Also not a fan of that base running at all. We're down 4 runs in the 8th inning, you can't get double off on a play like that.
  4. The last inning not withstanding, it is getting alarming how many hits the Brewers have given up in the first 2 games of the season.
  5. Tough to blame this one on any of the relief pitchers. 3 infield singles in one inning is pretty ridiculous, and I still think Gonzalez should have gotten an out on that play, the bat really wasn't that close to him. The only ball hit well all inning was by Tulo and that was an out. Only 2 balls have even left the infield and they have 3 runs in and 2 men on. Just bad breaks.
  6. Or the pure and utter ridiculousness of the inning can continue with a swinging bunt to score a run. That's 3 infield singles in the inning. And a blooper to CF off the end of the bat. This inning really has been a joke. Thats about a weeks worth of luck in the last 5-6 hitters.
  7. Thought he had him struck out twice there, just missed that second foul tip. And now we're losing. Just really unlucky this inning. Keep it at one I hope...
  8. The bunt rolls to the best possible spot. Shattered bat that wasn't that close to Gonzalez but he freaks out and now they have them loaded with no outs for Tulo. Ball hasn't gone past first base. Awesome. Be lucky to get out of this inning only down a run or two.
  9. Not only does she have pictures, if you look up her facebook page, it's quite clear that she likes the attention and loves showing off her "assets". Not blaming her, and nobody really knows if she did it on purpose or not (though sitting where she does, with the shirts that she wears, you'd have to know that people will notice you), but once she got "popular", she's taken full advantage and pretty clearly loves the attention she's getting from guys. Wonder if she's hoping for some sort of modeling or endorsement deal or something? I was really hoping Davis would get a hit there. Been up in 2 big spots now and come up empty. Be nice to get that first hit out of the way. Also...getting really tired of Rockies leadoff guys getting on base. And then a sac bunt goes for a hit. Ball hasn't gone more than 10 feet this inning and we're in big trouble.
  10. We used our tents/buckets without any issues. I know some of you think it's gross, and that's fine, but I don't appreciate being told to "control my beverage intake based on the situation". I shouldn't have to worry about planning out when I need to be because the lines are 45 minutes long. 45 minutes in a bathroom line is not how I want to spend my time in the lots before the games. Having a tent/bucket that we keep sanitary shouldn't really bother any of you. It's not like we're dumping it out onto other cars or just peeing in the parking lot. The Brewers won't address the situation (16 is still not nearly enough in that lot) so we handled it ourselves and I don't really see whats wrong with that.
  11. They need to stop settling for jump shots. They can't make jump shots. Gardner has been open 3 times already without getting the ball. Their only chance to beat them is to pound it inside or penetrate through the zone. Settling for contested jumpers is a recipe for disaster. Officials need to blow the whistle too, looked like a couple shooting fouls not called on the Syracuse bigs so far.
  12. This is almost exactly what we do. I'm not sure where people are that there aren't substantial lines for bathrooms, but we're always in the Bluemound lot and the above scenario is exactly correct. Hence why we starting bringing our own, we also have a portable shower stall, so it's not like people are just being randomly into a bucket. I haven't heard of the kitty litter though, that's an interesting idea. How much do you put in a bucket? And how many times can the bucket be used with the litter in it before you throw it out (how many people can go before it needs to be replaced)?
  13. We only bring our own on Opening Day, as we're in the lots the longest and it's by far the most crowded day of the year. We just bring a small tent and put a 5 gallon bucket in it, so I'm not worried about it. But I know that a lot of people, most big groups, but some other people too, just bring a portajohn in to use. Often times, people do it just to make money. The lines are so long that people will pay a buck or two or whatever to use a "private" bathroom and not have to wait in line.
  14. They can maybe crack down on the actual Port-a-Potties that people bring in, but I don't see how they are going to stop people with 5 gallon buckets or little tents setup with buckets in them and all that stuff. And if they are going to enforce this AND charge 15-20 bucks to park there, they should quadruple the number of bathrooms there in the first place.
  15. So no chance of the cold weather slowing down and coming on Tuesday or anything?
  16. Any chance whatever system is coming pushes back and Sunday's weather moves to Monday? I know very littel about weather systems.
  17. Still looks like a high of 36-38 on Monday, though I can't find an hourly forecast yet. Mostly sunny, but very windy, average winds in the 15-20MPH range. That's going to be cold for sure. Ugh.
  18. I absolutely hated watching a game that him and Joe Buck were doing together. To the point that I would turn the sound completely off. Insufferable is the exact right word for that. The two of them together, for any Cardinals game, was just sickening for me. So while I respect his career, I won't be at all sad to turn on a FOX game and not hearing his voice.
  19. Surprising he had the clause, why thought that highly of him to put the clause in? I mean, he just got replaced by Yuni afterall. Had to figure his shot at the roster was all but gone with that signing. Gives him a small chance to latch on elsewhere but I doubt it. I usually think these decisions are made out of anger and not thinking it through. He's not good enough to mandate a 25 man roster spot. Every team in baseball has guys like him on the roster right now, and it's unlikely he's a huge upgrade over any of them, so the teams will likely just stick with their own guys. The Brewers know him this year, know how he's been playing, etc. His best course of action was to stay with them, be an injury away from coming and going to AAA. Then see what happens around the league and if you think you can go elsewhere, request your release at that point. I'd put money on him starting the season in the minors with another team, not on a 25 man roster.
