  1. Agreed. Once is a mistake. Twice is just flat out dumb. Thats' the last pitch he should be throwing there. And now here we go at 2-0. This feels like it's going to end very very horribly.
  2. And another hanger on 0-2 goes for a hit. I'm very unhappy right now. I mean, seriously. Same mistake twice. He's actually throwing the ball 97 tonight, throw a high heater or spike it in the dirt. Now I'm scared....
  3. I hate hits on 0-2. That pitch needed to be in the dirt, not out over the plate. That's where not having confidence in his fastball is a killer. C'mon Axford. Get tough here.
  4. Great job Gorzelanny!! Wow. And thanks for returning the favor! Now let's get some runs!
  5. You gotta be kidding me here. That's just downright luck. And again, just over Segura. That just as easily could have been a pop up or a routine double play, instead it's a hit. This just isn't our night. It feels like the Colorado series all over again. We had first and second no outs and didn't score, let's return the favor please.
  6. And then their liner finds a way over our infielder. So infuriating. Their last two hits were literally inches from being outs. I have zero faith tonight in holding them scoreless the rest of the way, just seems like that kind of night. And can anyone please explain WHY Badenhop came in at all?
  7. Well that ended in a hurry. That's a bit of a letdown. Big double play and then a liner to a leaping stab. Crap. That sucked, Really, really need the bullpen to put up a zero here, heart of the order or not.
  8. How slow is Lucroy? Lol. Close call, I can't imagine the reaction if Lucroy had been called out there. This would be a good time for Rickie to put a definitive end to his slump....
  9. Let's go back to back again!! I'm developing a large man crush on Jean. Is that wrong? Braun still not seeing the ball well, he's missing or fouling off balls he usually crushes. And swinging and missing an awful lot.
  10. I still don't get taking Kintzler out for Badenhop. It's not like Kintzler was being drilled, and he's a sinkerballer who usually keeps the ball in the yard. Why make the switch?
  11. Thats two inning ending double plays not turned (once with a bad throw, once with a bad call) and both times the next hitter goes yard totalling 5 runs. Give teams extra outs and it kills you, but this one just makes me mad. The play at first base wasn't even that close, and he blows it.
  12. Way to blow a pretty easy call at first to keep the inning going. Awesome. Let's hope not turning that one doesn't screw us like the last one did. He was out pretty easily, I don't know how you get that call wrong. And there it goes. Thanks a lot umpires. ***** infuriating. Blown call and a three run shot to take the lead away. First pitch. I'm so mad I want to spit. And that missed Gomez glove by about three inches.
  13. Sure would be nice if Estrada could stop giving up home runs. This feels like a game we should be up 7-8 runs instead of only 3
  14. Glad to see weeks still in the 5 hole. I believe he's the only regular to not have a single day off. Makes sense...got to keep his hot bat in the lineup. Oh wait... Seriously though, how long does he have to slump before getting a day or two to clear his head? Could putting josh prince in the lineup really be that bad? Why is he even on the roster at this point?
  15. Yes, I do have kids. And yes, I understand the concept...I just disagree to some extent with regards to this particular instance. The main difference being that in your example, you KNOW your kids are guilty, at least with 99% certainty and in the Braun case, nobody can be 99% about anything. I understand what you're saying with regards to it obviously being a much, much bigger deal if he were to admit guilt. But there is SOME possible chance that he is telling the truth. I think what people are upset about is the fact that guys like Jeff Passan took every single opportunity, with things almost as trivial as this, and turned it into long anti-Braun articles. If you're ESPN or whoever, and you take every small trivial thing you can find and use it to bash Braun, I think people want to know why nobody is even talking about this at all. If your job as a reporter is to give people the facts and let them decide, you can't just simply ignore this. Now, ESPN does have an article about it, but the Braun comment is basically an afterthought, which is what people are upset about I think.
  16. I tried to delete the above post but couldn't...Patrick, after reading your last post to Ender...I think we're on the same page. It doesn't necessarily mean anything with regards to Braun being innocent or not, but it is a piece of the story and I think in fairness to Braun, it something that should have been reported with the same level of urgency, awareness, front pageness, etc that every other piece of the story has been. And to people that already feel that Braun has been a target of ESPN/Yahoo/etc based on how everything has been reported, this just further illustrates that.
  17. No, it's not news and yes, it is irrelevant. They might as well have been interviewing Kermit the Frog. You're basically throwing out what he's stating because of who it is, but at the same time, you claim that if he admits that he sold PED's to players, we should take that to be the truth. So now he's not credible unelss he says he sold players PEDs? It shouldn't matter what he says, either it's a story or not. It's only news if he admits guilt, but nothing else he says is newsworthy at all? What most of are saying is that ESPN has blown up EVERYTHING related to this story, trivial or not, thats the precedent they set with this story long ago. But yet this is something that should have been made to light and on the front page of ESPN, just like everything else has been with relation to this story but for the most part, it hasn't. Nobody is saying this guy is the end all be all and that Braun is 100% innocent and I agree he's not exactly a reliable source, but it shouldn't be just completely disregarded either.
  18. So it's big news that A-Rod may or may not have bought documents, it's big news that Cano's wife may or may not have been a client of the clinic or something stupid like that, but it's not news at all when the guy comes out and makes a public statment? Really? While the guy has no real credibility, to act like it's completely and utterly irrelevant is silly. They are supposed to report sports news, which is what this is, they've ran with way, way smaller related stories about this, and this is just buried. Is that because it's Braun? Who knows, but it IS a story and they more or less ignored it.
  19. He talked about just one player...Braun. And he went out of his way to say he talked to his legal team. Why did he do that? Who knows....bribed? Felt guilty that Braun did nothing wrong and got thrown under the bus? Who knows, and while he's certainly not trusted at this point, it is a small feather in the cap of Braun for the time being. Too bad no networks will say anything about it.
  20. Seems odd that we'd be big dogs in this one...I really wish Ramirez was in that lineup.
