  1. I don't know. Love had two people helping him off the field. In slo-mo it looks bleak. I hope I'm wrong.
  2. I just now see the Brewers lost 3-2 to the Rockies at Home. Man, can we just not have good things? The pain is so real. LOL.
  3. Well, the unfortunate thing here is: I wouldn't doubt for one moment they actually decided to let their All-Pro returner a green light to give it a go knowing their odds were slim. I would go 60/40 the thinking was let Nixon try to make something happen.
  4. I wouldn't go that far. It's only year 2. He's a TE. But, Kraft shows way more a complete game. Musgrave just hasn't looked the part of anything other than a seam-buster burner. Like an absolute one-trick pony at present. He is fast but I just don't see intelligent routes or an ability to cut. He also has gone down like a bag of bricks when touched or when not even touched. It's still too early but I'm just nowhere near as bullish as the pundits.
  5. I think, despite Narvs' mis-hit on the 43 yarder I really liked what I saw from him. Way more confident his kicks are going in than Carlson. Nixon taking the ball out with only 30 seconds and costing his team 15 yards is amazing. As is Jaire's decision to take it out. Just spitfire CB nonsense. Otherwise known as: unintelligent football decisions.
  6. I get that. It is one loss. And, I think it's also quite fair to (1) criticize the NFL for that colossal dumpster fire of a product they just showed the world and (2) complain about repeat issues. I don't really fault overall sloppiness or penalties that were clearly not penalties. BUT, certainly there are some repeating issues.
  7. Musgrave had a pretty quiet and unimpressive camp. Followed by an extremely quiet and unimpressive game. This is not a good development. He still runs straight routes. Has no shiftiness. Has no real blocking ability. Is he literally just a one trick run straight and fast pony? He failed to cut off his route on the Love INT. Just ran a lazy route. Real concerns here. Kraft is easily the better TE at this juncture.
  8. A complete and utter embarrassment. Pair that sandwich with literally choosing a Torbert-led crew - a crew statistically proven to dole out the most penalties of any crew in their pathetic League. It's just such a joke of an organization.
  9. "Willis steps up. Willis slips." What an embarrassing product the NFL just gave the world. Absolutely embarrassing.
  10. This game is making my eyes bleed. I do not comprehend how a Torbert led crew is showing the NFL game to the world. It is a classic move by the incompetent organization that is the NF of L. An embarrassing professional sports org.
  11. Mississippi lost tonight (game 2 of double-header postponed til tomorrow night). Shuckers are back to a 2.5 G lead with 8 games to play. Shuckers, land this plane!
  12. Hey do we get a special plaque or a ribbon for winning a half?
  13. Everyone look at Jayden Reed's cleats. Copy his studs. This isn't rocket science. My goodness. Get your heads in the game equipment managers.
  14. Regardless, keep the XP. Zero need to go for a TD separation this early. Take the dang points. SMH.
  15. Already looking forward to hearing how well Myers played by the coaching staff.
  16. Wherever you may be, gentlemen, I hope you enjoy a Packers 'W' in Brazil! Let's see what we have early in the season.
  17. Rodrgiuez slung 2 IP 2K scoreless frames in a shortened first stint back. Muh man.
  18. I'm not all that surprised. His velo was down his last outing and, realistically, he hasn't been nearly as sharp his past two times on the hill. He may be dealing with some fatigue as he nears last season's inning total. I'd prefer they play it very cautious with Henderson given his injury history. I'm more excited that RHP Manuel Rodriguez is back on the bump tonight. He's been out for awhile and he is the workhorse of that Mudcats staff. The number of times he's pitched into the 6th inning this year at his age is astounding.
  19. RHP Janson Junk's whirlwind 2024 season continues as he was just DFA'd by the Oakland Athletics a mere week after being claimed. Junk appeared in one contest and it's fair to say: didn't go all that well! He made his only appearance on September 4th:
  20. As a friendly reminder: With nine games to play, the Shuckers hold a 1.5 G lead over the M-Braves and a 3.5 G lead over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. The Braves were postponed last night so have a double-header vs Tennessee tonight at their home ballpark. Tennessee leads that series 2-0 as of right now. Next week the Braves will visit the Shuckers in Biloxi for a final six-game set - big implications, obviously. Pensacola will close out their regular season @ Home versus first place Montgomery (3.0 G lead over the Shuckers - divisionally speaking, of course. They've already earned a first half playoff berth). AND, I would just like to add the Shuckers and Biscuits have played each other extremely competitively over the past two series. The Biscuits lead 7-5 but those series very very easily could have gone either way. Anything is possible in the South division of the Southern League. It is truly wide open.
  21. Thread will be utilized for any minor league news Friday. Organizational Scoreboard MiLB Audio Links
  22. So TE Tucker Kraft, RB 2 and 3 in Wilson and Lloyd are all questionable. Yuck
  23. In a system devoid of blue chip 1B prospects mashing or wowing on the regular outside of the tantalizing tool kit of 'suddenly a first baseman' Eric Bitonti, the Brewers have to find a way to keep 1B Ernesto Martinez Jr. in the fold. We know he's an upcoming Minor League FA once again this off-season. He is just so vastly under-recognized and so little discussed with all the young up-and-comers. His work at 1B tonight in the money-making innings should be celebrated and brought into the spotlight. Tip of the cap to 2B Ethan Murray as well for the diving stop and throw from his knees. The stretches from Ernesto (as we know from his days in Wisconsin) were elite. No other first baseman in the system makes those plays. You pair that with a player who has proven he is continuing to improve at the dish, is stacking double digit HR seasons, has a palatable strikeout rate and can hit for average (not to mention smack the living daylight out of the ball) with a near guaranteed 0.800 OPS floor who can also steal bases?
  24. Pensacola lost. They fall to 3.5 GB. Tennessee and Mississippi were postponed so will play a double-header tomorrow. Shuckers will temporarily pick up a half game there. They lead by 1.5 G. Massive win tonight for the men.
  25. Yeager gets the pop out to 1B foul territory and then an 0-2 swing and miss on a beautiful 0-2 pitch - off speed down and in the dirt. Glorious. Shuckers hold on and win 3-2!
