Clemmey walks Di Turi. The bases are juiced. One down. Muddies trail 3-1. AND, in Nashville just like that: Henderson hangs another dead center to the lefty Gorman and he rips a two-run shot over the RF wall. These are all absolute hangers. 5-0 Redbirds. Henderson has not looked good in several starts despite the two week absence. -
Cornielle lead-off 3rd inning walk. Gets the DP in the next AB. Noice!

Meanwhile, the T-Rats bats are swinging and missing all over the place. Dinges rips a first pitch line drive single baby. It's 3-1. Two mean aboard and nobdoy out for Payne.

Baez with a vintage first pitch swing. He bloops a goose fart into shallow RF past the sprinting 2B. Lead-off man aboard in the 4th.

Henerson opened the game with a 1-2 HR. He opens his 2nd frame with a double down the RF line past a diving Black.

Cornielle opens his 2nd with another swinging K on a high heater.

Green takes 3B. Garcia is saved by the slide. That ball would have easily traveled into LF. It hit Green's body instead. That's his 41st SB. Only caught 3 times.

Nats open their third with ab broken bat single and Corniel quickly throws one to the back stop. Sheeeesh. Man on 2nd. Nobody down.

Felt the absolute same. I fear this every post-season. No matter the level in the Brewers org.

Ramsey K's the side in the 2nd. T-Rats got nothing going against a lefty who often gives them fits. Cornielle will try to come back out and do the same.

Henderson returns and gives up a lead-off 1-2 long ball over the RF wall on a center cut heater. Gotta locate better in that count. Can't have that over the plate. Sigh.

Corniel opens his outing falling behind 3-0. He sneaks a heater in on the inner stripe. He gets the weak groundout to 1B. Cornielle gets another K to end his 2nd frame with a much better look. 2 K in the inning. On to the 3rd.

Yup. We always knew this was the 'danger' of this first round match-up: The Nats have two legitimate Aces atop their pitching staff. Couple that with a very very young team. Showing their youth early. AND, here we are in a 2-0 hole.
