Casey Martin ripped a two out double off the high LF wall. Nick Kahle ripped a two out RBI single up the middle infield. 1-0 Shuckers. Let's go, men! -
Adams was playing around with that lead left leg after he got plunked in his first AB in the 1st frame. He was shaking that leg as he walked to 1B. He's now been pulled for Tayden Hall as his replacement. Something to monitor.

Kuehner's heater seems to have reached another level tonight. There is a lot of rise on that pitch.

LHP Anfernny Reyes is giving us a bit of a DSL/ACL feel in his first inning of relief work. We see a runner swiping 2nd and 3rd. We see a wild pitch. He's given up one run. He has runners on 1st and 2nd. One down. Muddies trail 6-0 in a game quickly running away from them.

Blalock gets away with an absolute off-speed hanger to end the 2nd frame with a runner on 3rd. That ball was smoked. Sparks ran it down short of the warning track. BUT, that was not a good pitch. Lucky to get out unscathed.

After being pulled early last night, it's nice to see Chirinos back in the batters box. He will lead off the 2nd frame.

Kuehner ends the frame with his 2nd frame. Man, his game is really really growing on me. Just knows how to pitch. Extremely deceptive off-speed (unhittable at times) and really knows how to play the upper part of the zone in favorable counts.

Holy web gem by Garcia at 3B. Just absolutely snared a ball and launched a cannon to 1B as he popped up from the dirt. Only 89 mph off the bat but it was a weird hit off the lumber.

Lead-off K on three pitches from Kuehner. Glorious.

Yup. And zero feed of anything but the plunk on Adams. Very weird.

Wood drove a run in on an end-of-the-bat whiffle flub ground out to 3B. 1-0 T-Rats on to the bottom of the first where Kuehner will look to continue his run of dominance.

We finally have a feed in Beloit. AND, the first pitch I see is Adams getting hit on the lead left leg. Bases juiced. One down, apparently. No idea how three straight men have reached. Wood to the dish.

Two more K for Corniel in the 4th frame. He works around a two out single. That's 6 K through 4 IP. 5-0 Mudcats trail.

Three up. Three down. A clean inning for RHP Bradley Blalock. All three infield pop ups.

Briceno ends the inning by hitting into a DP. Bottom of 4. Mudcats trail 5-0.

Men on 1B and 2B. No outs. Walling had just walked. Castillo in a 3-0 count. Down 5-0...he flies out to LF on the next pitch. Can't be green lighting there. Ahhhhhh the ups and downs of Castillo at the dish.

BT Dub. That hurricane is already a Cat 5. Winds in excess of 170 mph. Possibly building to 200 mph. Expected landfall in Coastal Southern Texas/Louisiana by Sunday. Very very scary stuff.

Oh boy. Woof. We are suddenly back to the 3rd inning mini meltdowns we saw from Corniel earlier in the first half. He just gave up a 2-out triple. Let's remember, he had two down. A 1-2 count. And nobody on base. Then, he gave up 5 runs. 5-0 Down East and he's not out of the woods yet. Woof.

Corneil just walked the next batter on four pitches. We have a mound visit. I have no idea what the pitch count is this inning but it has to be getting up there. Men on 1B and 2B. Two down still.

Corniel is running into a wee bit of trouble here in the 3rd frame. Walk, double, double. He also has 2 K. 1-0 Down East. Men on 2nd and 3rd. Two down. 4 K through 2 2/3 IP. Let's hope he can prevent further damage.

Looks like the Mudcats stranded a couple runners early. We are in the bottom of the 2nd frame and Corniel certainly seems sharper. BUT, hey, what would we know it's @ Down East. The Media Blackout Capital of Minor League baseball.

Sigh. I don't get it. Nope. The blow up innings are going to happen - this is the 'development' process. However, this is coming on the heels of his best month at Double-A (0.238 BAA / 1.00 WHIP/ 8 K / 1 BB / 1 HB / 6 IP). When you have demonstrated the ability to throw the ball as hard as King does with the strikeout stuff he's shown consistently at every level, that's an asset worth continuing to invest in and develop by my eyes and IMHO. Stay thirsty, Justin. Believe in yourself. Keep grinding. You will definitely be an asset in your next stop. Stay the course. The journey continues.
