  1. I like it better when Box of Burgers gets out of an inning unscathed
  2. Looking like we can at least see Burnesy start the 7th. This is good.
  3. Burnesy is fighting without his best stuff these past 2 innings. With this starting staff we must remind ourselves: anything is possible into October.
  4. Come on Burnesy. Let’s get out of this inning still up 1. Find that resolve, Ace.
  5. Congrats All. Enjoy the W. Let's hope for another tomorrow and let's hope for a bullpen finding itself again. Playoffs baby. Just remember, 4th year of a Playoff run. It's all honey in the pot.
  6. Alright gents, I have to go put my Little Missus to bed. Enjoy the rest of the game and here's hoping they close this out and get some 'feel good' after the recent rough stretch.
  7. In his defense, yesterday turned into an epic trainwreck the likes of which we haven't seen out of this team all season. Just a perfect storm of terribleness. Even the most pessimistic of fans couldn't have predicted that. Absolutely agreed. I would say until last night, tho the bullpen had some hiccups recently, they were still reliable for the most part and a strength. After last night, trust needs to be restored and CC finds himself having to grapple with that.
  8. This entire season of Starting pitching has been unbelievable - even Anderson gave us anomalous outings here and there with 7 ip and 8k. The developments across the board - Lauer and Houser stabilizing and thriving obviously at the top of the list - has been such a pleasant thing to witness. I mean, Lauer has been legit awesome since his recall. It's such a great story.
  9. I believe I heard tonight (?) CC saying he has a decent chance of joining the Big Club on their 6 game road trip upcoming?
  10. Thank You Mr. Lauer! Great stuff. Incredible transformation he has undergone this season. Just incredible.
  11. Rough start early, ran into a few Homer's. Gonna need the bullpen to cover the last 4 innings. At this point...that's terrifying as Williams is out with a calf issue. Lauer may start the 6th. Had a 35+ pitch first after an error. Doh. Yeah, after last night's bullpen yuck-fest I suddenly find myself very unnerved with the Pen who have been so solid for months. The sudden flat tires we see on Box of Burgers and Cousins is very concerning...we need them to find their form of a month or so ago before the post-season hits.
  12. Still a great defender....and when he has been healthy his bat looks more like what he was in 2018 vs 2019. It seems to my amateur eye, other than a few random AB's here and there where Lo-Cain looks utterly helpless for some reason, he has been downright solid in all facets when healthy and playing everyday. Still one of our best and most consistent players.
  13. How are the Crew looking tonight everyone? Just getting back from errands with a 3.5 yo and my brain is melting.
  14. It's easy to get negative and overreact to the current stretch. I want to remind us all: this team has over-performed expectations the majority of the season. We saw an unbelievable enjoyable stretch of baseball for months consecutive. We set an all-time wins above 0.500 mark. We nearly have the division wrapped-up. A stretch like this, albeit NOT enjoyable, has to be factored in given they have largely over-performed no? I'm not saying things will get better or they'll find some of their prior form. BUT, I am saying: lotttta season left. This game is still in-process. Guys can find their form just as easily as they lose it. Let's have a little bit of faith. I personally believe they deserve the benefit of our doubt. My two cents.
  15. The recent mini slides of Cousins and Boxberger has been met by an offensive slide by nearly every batter. Here's hoping they get this out of their systems before the Playoff push. This can happen in a season. Patience. Patience. Patience. This is the first bad stretch, or adversity-riddled, baseball we've seen since pre-Adames. Let's give them a chance to right their ship.
  16. Welcome back, Mr. Taylor. Great to see him having a Day at the plate! Let's close this game out and re-group and get the Win train going again. Slow and steady. Hiccups happen in a season. Let's find our groove for a post-season run.
  17. I believe this is actually the First real adversity the Team has faced, in terms of Results, since pre-Adames. Let’s see how they respond.
  18. Tough lil losing streak here. Here's hoping the bats start making meaningful contact and we get the patented random Anderson 7ip 0er 8k performance!
  19. Welp, the Tigers; Twinkies; and Royals are apparently our Kryptonite. Ok. Good we won't face these teams in the Post-Season. Really looking forward to Wily's face in that Batter's Box baby.
  20. It used to be the Brewers got me to the Packer season and I prepared to bid adieu. Today I listened to the Brewers broadcast while working in my Garden and building out an addition to my chicken coop and yard. When I put the tools down, I checked the Packer score. Laughed. Grabbed a beer and watched Brewer highlights.
