  1. I know people love to rag on Kevin King, and rightfully so, BUT say what we want: he is light years a better option than a Yiadom or a Chandon Sullivan. Stokes is a rook and will take his pills, we know this. The talent is there. BUT, man, you lose Jaire with an injured King and we got nothing over there. They are going to have to shade heavy with Amos (as they did on that last play) which opens up the entire other side of the Field as they know they have a Single High essentially now mandated. Yuck.
  2. Now, you have Yiadom playing 8 yards off. Easy pickings. This is a bad development.
  3. That fumble, after losing Jaire, is even more egregious by Jonesy. RB's cough it up from time to time. BUT, the timing there was just a no way fumble scenario.
  4. Looked like a shoulder and a stinger to me
  5. Jeepers. A fumble there after that beautiful 1st down playcall is what I might call: not ideal. He missed his Lane. It is just never easy with the Pack.
  6. Thank You. Because, let's be real: you simply can not determine 'intent'. So do away with it. If you trip a qb leaving the pocket: penalty. End of story.
  7. I gotta say: I LOVE when other teams punt the ball 20 yds with an 80 yd field. Makes me smile for all the previous Packer shanks.
  8. There's generally a little bit of leeway. Centers have some ability to move the ball as long as it's not a "fake snap" type thing. Depends on what the exact movement was and it's really a judgment call if the refs even see it. I think they were offsides before the ball started moving backwards if that means anything but without a down the line shot can't be sure. Anyway they just go their makeup call. They were line up offsides. Correct. However, Watts routinely is lined up over the LOS. Apparently, he is there to get calls.
  9. I join the unsavory language crowd. HOW do you explain picking that Flag up and magically discerning 'intent'. Unreal. Also, is it me or does every fg look like a Tonyan blocking disaster waiting to happen. He is simply flailing. Yikes.
  10. Or Graham mertz would throw a touchdown pass Oh man...I saw the score today, and no lie, I was whispering myself: "Remember, you will never overemphasize inaugural performance wizardry in Champaign, Illinois. Never."
  11. Goodnight Gents. Really looking forward to the end of this Season. Here's hoping we maintain Health into the game's end tomorrow. Enjoy the rest of your weekends.
  12. If someone would have told me the Packers would crush and cruise in the 2010 Playoffs, I would have told you: No Way. Atlanta on the Road?! Good Luck! If someone would have told me the Bucks could overcome their previous shortcomings in the recent Playoffs and they could go take Game 7 from Brooklyn? NO Way. Just NO Way. KD is too good and they are in Brooklyn. Here I sit. And, here I say: I will not not give the Brewers the benefit of the doubt that they, too, can rise to the occasion and find that Magic. They have enough talent. It CAN come together. Players can find another Level.
  13. AMEN!!! Guys, I want to first say: I completely respect your opinions. 100%. And, I understand where you're coming from. BUT, I also want to say: What I am seeing here is you both might be stressed or worried about the recent Brewers performances (perhaps, rightfully so, I can't claim to know if they are worrisome or not - too many variables and the main goal was achieved in winning the Division)...but, I think I can also say off this: The Brewers are not worried about this recent stretch of games and I guarantee you they have a plan in place they've implemented since they won the Division. I also guarantee you this Plan was co-created from on high in the Baseball Ops in collusion with the Coaching staff. This is a good thing. Whether or not they play well in their Home Field advantage for the NLDS? Well, that's up to the players and also Couns. BUT, we're not going to know how that goes until we get there. I encourage you to relax, sit back, and enjoy the ride. This is our FOURTH Playoff journey IN A ROW. FOURTH. That's amazing. As a lifelong Brewers fan since the early 1980, I invite you to join me in the celebration. We have a first class organization that is experiencing success. Will we win the Big One? Maybe. Personally, I think there are better teams throughout the Playoffs BUT this is also a very worthy Brewers ball-club that could also get Hot at just the right time. Who knows? The Bucks just won a Chip, baby! Let's get to the Playoffs. Let's play the meaningful games. And, let's see where the ball lands in our 5 game series. Food for thought.
  14. Cancelled due to 'Wet Grounds'. Well shucks. Was looking forward to checking the Box. Onward and Upward.
  15. I know it's a not a plan I would have adhered to. I would agree with giving Woodruff and Peralta a couple of innings, 30 pitches something like that. It does set Counsell up for a lot of heat if it doesn't work out. Considering how the Crew started the season? I'm going to take all that heat off of Counsell personally. I'm going to take it...and I'm going to heat my house with it if it happens.
  16. Based on the argument being given, Suter is the better pitcher. I see what you did there... And I like it!
  17. He probably would have won it 10 years ago. Butt not real sure that wins are really all that important of a stat anymore. When wins are not important, we have really gotten away from what is really important. If Wins are an Important pitching stat what do wins say of Brett Suter's W/L record versus Woody's? (EDIT to Add: I'm not saying 'Wins' aren't important BUT I personally see pitching Wins just as I see Football Wins. More often than not, when spread out over an entire team and an entire season, the W/L record is itself much more indicative of the Team than it is the individual - ie, QB or SP)
  18. Wow. This is wild. I am feeling quite grateful we don't have to face Acuna Jr. as well. In our games against the Braves, they reminded me quite a bit of the White Sox. They have a lot of solid depth. Of course, we played them with a couple of their guys injured. I like our Series match-up and am excited to see how the young Team responds to the Playoffs. All things considered, we have to be overjoyed we get the Braves as a Round One matchup. I would not be thrilled for the WC play-in game and then either the Giants or Dodgers. I'll take our position and run.
  19. I'm in the Department of "I could care absolutely less about these final Regular Season games." They mean nothing. Our seed is locked in. The only games that matter are against Atlanta. We may perceive the Brewers to be scuffling...and, sure, they are. BUT, they are playing very very good teams and they just don't have anything to play for. Our offense has been entirely 'Up and Down' all season long. The only concern I have entering the post-season is the loss of our set-up man. That was such a huge blow to a suddenly fragile Bullpen. BUT, I also think this can be offset by savvy use of Lauer, Houser, and potentially Anderson. I also think Ashby has the stuff to be given the high-leverage role. Inexperience, be damned. He absolutely has the stuff we need to close out those very close and tight spots - I roll with what happens. We shall see. Just excited for the Regular Season to finish. Don't care who wins the NL West. Don't care if we lose again tomorrow.
  20. They shouldn't have needed any. If they do, it's on them. Aren’t they like 21-5 or something. I mean for crissakes they aren’t choking. Agreed. Saying this is 'on the Giants' is fairly wild considering they've continued to win close games. Continued to have an extremely solid pitching staff. And, continued to win games while losing their most potent offensive weapon in Belt. If anything, if they lose out, it's because the Dodgers are really really good.
  21. So, I'm taking it in this brief perusal of Page 6 not a lot improved from a 3-1 First inning? And, I'm also seeing Colin Rea may be our next Diamond in the Rough?
  22. Well, Gents, my satellite internets is going down the toilet. It's that time of the evening. Best of Luck closing this game Out. Hope Lauer gives us another 1-2 solid innings and we can bring this Home and force the Cards to fly to LA.
  23. Justin Turner: Always a tough out. Pro hitter.
  24. He’s expected back tomorrow I believe. EDIT: I misread earlier, he is expected back by the NLDS. From Haudricourt two hours ago… Brewers president David Stearns said that barring physical setbacks, the expectation is that both first baseman Rowdy Tellez and reliever Jake Cousins will be ready to be on NLDS roster. Sweet. Thank You.
  25. Hey has there been any recent news on Cousins stint on the IL?
