  1. Going back to read the Game thread. Had to loosely follow the game in Gameday while driving in rush hour traffic in and around Spokane, Warshington. That 9th was mildly stressful! I coukdn’t believe I couldn’t find the game on National am radio.
  2. I haven't seen it with the White Sox all season, to be honest. Decent team, sure. But, a threat to win it all? No way in my book. Pains me to see LaRussa taking it on the chin. Pains me.
  3. Chris Taylor had some voo doo HR PH magic on the Crew too recently no? I know he didn't PH here but he is just another weapon in their insanely capable offensive lineup. Great to see the Cards lose. NOW, let's take care of our business and hope the Giants pull it off.
  4. Losing Max Muncy, at this stage, appears quite large. He's a huge bat in their Lineup.
  5. I think it has to do with (1) his performance - middling at best and (2) they have quite a bit of depth there and good depth at that. This definitely means Jabril Cox is entering the rotation. They were probably demoting him and he asked to be released? I dunno.
  6. I was also hoping this would happen but figured it wouldn't. Not a done deal. Demovsky reports still being courted by other teams. Smith has not confirmed. Packers are the leading candidate, however.
  7. Apparently they were a favorite to sign him if Released. New England was quite savvy here as they knew that and leaked the info and Carolina swooped in w a Draft Pick. The Packers had no means of absorbing his salary in a straight trade so they had to sign him as a FA. Appears the Pack are, however, in the front-running to sign Jaylen Smith.
  8. It's not looking promising for Jaire my friends. He is in a sling. LaFleur mentioned today he won't have a definitive report until Wednesday (I consider this: We're seeking second opinions). He won't rule out the injury as season-ending. Not good.
  9. 8-3 close out victory and Cousins opened the game with a scoreless frame. Get that young man back to that roster and let's hope he finds that mid-season form. The Big Club bullpen needs some relief.
  10. On to the Post Season Gents. Let the real hand-wringing begin. Already nervous. LOL.
  11. Well, a Win is a Win is a Win. I'm left feeling relieved by the resilience of the Defense followed by many a frustration with the Offense and the entire repeated inconsistencies I see there. BUT, hey, they are back into relevancy. We are spoiled. NFL refs still are turrible. On to the next.
  12. They took him out immediately after he gave up the Post route. He raised his hands up as if he didn't know what to do there or didn't feel responsible. They yanked him right there.
  13. Not his best punt. But, wonderful to see the rook just blanket that route. Beautiful stuff.
  14. A ST gaffe would be in the Packer playbook. I'm going the other route: Bojorquez hits a bomb and pins them inside the 10.
  15. So these refs picked up a clear tripping penalty. Don't call the unnecessary roughness on the kickoff kneeldown. And, they just miss a clear facemask penalty. Seems like par for the course.
  16. I want to formally say I have a Gripe with the lack of Flow and Smarts I am seeing from these Offensive Gameplans. LaFleur and Rodgers really need to get away from thinking they are the Smartest Men in the room - even if they are (lol). Stick with what works. And, for goodness sake, if you are up 17 deep in the 4th in the Opponents territory and it's 3rd and 4 and you already know you are going for it on 4th down? RUN the ball on 3rd down. OR, in the very least give the impression of a run. ARod missing another wide open deep ball aside, it is just irresponsible Playcalling in my book.
  17. What an embarrassing possession there from ARod and LaFleur. What was that? I'll never understand.
  18. Also, I want to say: IF I am a Pittsburgh fan, I highly question the way they have manufactured this offense. As others of you have alluded to, it is clear Big Ben is fading fast. You are playing Harris near every snap, how do you not build your offense around this kid. He is a HORSE out there. He is like Dillon with better hands and quite a bit more athleticism. I don't quite get what Canada is thinking.
  19. Absolutely. And we have a lotta B Team guys out there. Guys are doing what they need to do. It really really helps when we have the consistency of Campbell manning the Middle. He has been just a Pro's Pro.
  20. How many times, in a similar scenario, did we see Scott either shank it or low linedrive that ball to our own 47 for like a 15 yd return?
  21. Low snap. Snags it. 57 yard bomb with hangtime for zero return? That was just an incredible kick.
  22. Bojorquez: I heart you. Be still my heart. WHAT a kick.
  23. A WR False Start in that situation is about unthinkable as a coach eh?
  24. Indeed. Those 2 misses to Schuster were huge misses. Good point.
