  1. Most of my lifetime it was the opposite so I don't mind the change of pace.
  2. Yeah, kinda feels that way a lot of nights.
  3. Peralta couldn't get the job done yesterday due to one big(ish) inning, hopefully Burnes will do better as the Brewers try to leave Cleveland with a series win.
  4. Agreed. The grill should be the hat logo.
  5. Even so, Contreras would likely have a lot more value if locked down into free agency. Catchers that can hit and play acceptable/good defense are unicorns in baseball.
  6. There's a shift restriction hit for Yeli.
  7. I also feel bad for him just because that awful organization is blaming him for the team playing like crap and their crappy pitchers looking the part.* *of course, Willson chose to sign with that awful organization
  8. Yeah, that sounds about right. Maybe ten days to start a rehab assignment and then 20 days to get up to ~80 pitches?
  9. Sorry @markedman5 I switched out the tweet because it appears the one you originally linked was possibly deleted? I hit the URL and got a sorry not found.
  10. Nice, was wondering about an update on Woodruff. Gonna split this one out into its own thread, as it's so note-worthy.
  11. I think the Reds look terrifying in 2024 and 2025. I'm not scared of them in 2023 if the Brewers take care of business. Look at yesterday's game. The Reds scored 11 runs on nine hits against the Braves and won by one run. They're in an extremely fortune run right now but unless they get their pitching sorted in a hurry, we could easily see a Pirates-level collapse just around the corner. In their past 26 games, they have nine one-run wins. And they didn't create much separation from the Brewers, being only 1.5 games ahead. Could the Reds win the division? Oh, absolutely. Do I think they will? No.
  12. I understand front office and ownership being a bit risk-averse in the wake of the Yelich signing but I find it rather disappointing that they haven't locked up Contreras or any of the rookie class.
  13. Whether he learned of the pitch three days or three weeks ago, just rolling it out there like that puts Miley in the inner circle of the Crafty Lefty Hall of Fame. That's kinda ridiculous.
  14. A nice, easy victory yesterday. Hopefully that leads into Peralta getting right and this team going on a run. The Reds are still refusing to lose and the Brewers need to keep pace in the short-term.
  15. Nice clean win. Do it again tomorrow, please.
  16. For the record, I’m totally cool with seeing the Brewers BABIP their opponent to death for once instead of seeing the opposite.
  17. Leave for the store and this game turns into the Willy show.
  18. I’m fine with alternate uniforms but they need to be good. Mets orange, not good. Twin Cities alternate, very good (best uniform the Twins have right now, frankly). Alternates become less exciting when the home whites are good/great, which the Brewers home pinstripes are IMO.

  20. By the way, figured out why GIFs weren't searchable so the GIF button in the text editor works again.
  21. It makes sense when it matches the city name in a pleasing way. MKE is pretty good. I also like MSP for Minneapolis St Paul. I agree that PDX is great. PGH is blech. CLT is ****** hilarious, honestly.
  22. I gained a new respect for baseball players that day because I couldn’t understand how they were standing on that field.
