I view it this way: 1. It's likely they keep getting offensive reinforcements from the minors or the current rookies establish themselves more 2. The rotation injuries have to end at some point 3. The division is bad, no one else is going to run away with this, just keep your head afloat

I agree with all of this post but the quoted post has a point that complements it; if Taylor is a fringy guy, giving him only five games after a missed Spring Training is probably not doing the team any favors. I was actually going to start a thread about this a day or two ago but became distracted. It felt like pushing too hard to the possible detriment of the team as a whole, and it's kinda turned out that way.

Yeah, and I'm fine with what the Brewers did but most teams do not offer a standalone streaming option, which is a big annoyance for me personally (and lots of others who cancelled cable ages ago). MLB needs to catch up to where modern viewers are going and that is an a la carte service for streaming.

I mean there should be an easy way to stream local games outside of a full-blown cable package, something fewer and fewer people have by the day. What MLB is doing with the Padres - an extra fee for a specific local team - is a fine solution IMO.

This, along with regional blackouts, need to end. There needs to be a way to pay MLB to watch a damned baseball game no matter where you live.

The team to watch right now is the Twins. Their contract expires after the season and they've been pretty hostile to Bally for a few years now. It will be interesting to see what Bally does with a team that is obviously not interested in renewing with them in six months.
