  1. I really hope this isn't the case. I don't see much upside in giving Winker OF reps when Mitchell, Taylor, and Frelick are options.
  2. It's a rather lengthy read, particularly by MLBTR standards, but it does a good job of explaining outfield options heading into 2023. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/02/sorting-through-the-brewers-outfield-options.html
  3. A fair choice for the list, as I personally have a tendency to undervalue Taylor. He's a really nice swingman in the outfield.
  4. With the acquisition of Miley, returning to a six-man rotation might be a viable option. I think that makes the most sense, at least through the first couple of months of the season.* *assuming it's even possible but with the Brewers having seven viable options, six may be healthy at any given moment
  5. Welcome to the site and great comment!
  6. Hiura is fourth? Pbbbbbtttt, what a slacker.
  7. I'm curious where you all land on this, going to split it into two polls, who you expect to start in CF and who you want to start in CF.
  8. I find that more of an indictment to how MVP ballots used to be cast than an endorsement of Fingers. The year he won MVP, Fingers had a WPA of 3.4. Mariano Rivera had a 4+ WPA five times in his career. Joe Nathan had a 4+ WPA three times in his career and cleared 5+ twice. Billy Wagner had a 5+ WPA season. Trevor Hoffman had two 5+ WPA seasons. Josh Hader had a 4.8 WPA season in 2021. MVP voters in the past simply weren't very good at discerning actual value provided on the field.
  9. I'm not sure about blackouts in the app. I've used it at my cabin but I believe that's technically both the Twins and Brewers coverage zone (ugh, MLB blackout rules are arcane). My understanding was that the app never blacks out based on geolocation but the billing zip needs to be in the home territory. I could be wrong about that. As for the stream itself, I haven't had any problems with it at all but have seen others complain. No idea what the issue is there but it has worked adequately for me personally.
  10. Which is fair... if it's an extra cost, which it isn't for a lot of us. I haven't had traditional cable in over 15 years so I'm not duplicating costs, streaming is literally my first and only option. And that's the problem with what Sinclair has done... they've played hard ball with all the streaming companies to the point where the only option to stream a Bally RSN is DirecTV, which is an absolute trash fire of an experience. I've used most of the streaming cable options - Hulu, YouTube TV, DirecTV, and something else I'm forgetting - and those first two options aren't a little better than DTV, they're miles better. So the move to a standalone app is actually a welcome one, at least for me personally (and others who abandoned cable).
  11. This is what we just rolled out at Twins Daily. Give it a read and if you have thoughts how to adapt this format to AmFam, please share! https://twinsdaily.com/minnesota-twins-guides-resources/the-ultimate-fan-guide-to-target-field-r3/
  12. Ah, thank you. That was my fault. I breezed through the honorable mentions paragraph while editing because I had one foot out the door.
  13. There is always a section of the internet that wants a place like this to discuss a topic. It’s our core mission to provide that to those users, I just wish we didn’t have to spend so much effort keeping it that way.
  14. We'll definitely monitor the situation and if people start trolling with the reaction, it'll be removed. It's a fine line to walk. Most social communities have some way to "dissent" without lengthy commentary but if people can't resist abusing the feature, I won't hesitate to remove it. I wish people on the internet were capable of acting like grown-ass adults instead of middle schoolers.
  15. First, welcome to the site! Second, from what I've read it's possible, maybe even likely, this situation will have little impact on 2023. This bankruptcy filing isn't going to happen overnight and may not impact teams through the 2023 season. The long-term situation is pretty scary for teams (but also rife with potential to improve upon the currently broken system) but I'm not sure the short-term situation will have much impact on payrolls.
  16. This is an oversimplification of the situation. Other sports have banned various defensive alignments multiple times. The NBA banned zone defense for a long time. In the NHL, for decades there were all sorts of rules involving players in the crease.
  17. I have a cabin just on the Wisconsin side of the St Croix and have contemplated changing one of my credit card billing addresses to that just to get more access to the Brewers.
  18. After some input I received, I shuffled some of the reactions a little. The heart icon for Like has been replaced by a thumbs up. The heart icon has been moved to a new reaction, Love. The Confused reaction has been changed to a Disagree with a thumbs down icon. That feels less confrontational than other neutral or negative reactions. Please give your input on what you think of these, they're absolutely not set in stone.
