  1. This is probably a fine minor-league signing but having just watched Margot with the Twins last season, I have absolutely zero interest in ever watching Manuel Margot play baseball again.
  2. This was written over at one of our sister sites and it's a really good read. Examining The Cutting-Edge Technology In MLB Spring Training 2025 - Red Sox - Talk Sox TALKSOX.COM Baseball analytics have evolved significantly since Bill James’ mail-order Baseball Abstracts. With technology producing up to seven terabytes of data per game, new data is readily...
  3. Sunday or Monday, I'm still working out a routine for how to do this.
  4. True, but I don't know if a radar gun was used or Statcast, which is very reliable and consistent.
  5. For sure, there's still a lot left to prove before anyone can consider Woodruff back to form or anywhere close to it.
  6. Yeah, which is why throwing 92mph is so promising. I've seen a few guys come back from shoulder surgeries 8-10mph slower than pre-surgery. They usually regain some, if not all, of that velocity over a couple of seasons but that does the Brewers absolutely no good on a one-year deal.
  7. I'm trying not to hype myself up but I fully expected him to come in at 88 in the early going. I'm ready to be hurt again.
  8. I don't create these images but I will pass along this information. Thanks for letting me know.
  9. Whoever the player in the OP is, he should probably be traded to save Mark some cash.
  10. This is a new thing we'll be doing on the forums. It's a fun little game where once a week, we post a player and you try to guess who it is. This is part of a push to offer more ways to interact with the site. This is the first (tiny) piece of the puzzle with more stuff launching around Opening Day and throughout the season. Let me know if you have suggestions how to improve it!
  11. Maybe not "bad"... Uninspiring, definitely.
  12. I agree... kinda. I'd lean more toward the D spectrum because Arnold didn't do anything remotely interesting. He completed the Williams trade, which we all knew was coming, but didn't follow that up with any notable trades to improve the team. I didn't need or expect a blockbuster but also think the total dearth of interesting moves makes it a pretty bad offseason. With that said, I think the Brewers are still pretty good and will likely convert some of their marginal arms into decent performers but am left feeling that more should have been done.
  13. This is such an informative way of looking at the Sheffield debacle, an angle I’ve never heard before.
  14. Thank you and welcome to Brewer Fanatic! Maybe it's just me but I still hope Uribe becomes the late-inning weapon we all hope he can be.
  15. I do not care about the team in the slightest bit in this case, DOUBLY SO if it's the ****** Pirates and Bob Nutting. I take the cash without hesitation. Everyone involved with the team has piles and piles of cash. If they want the card, they have the funds to buy it instead of offering free tickets and jerseys.
  16. Telling other people to put you on ignore isn't a particularly helpful comment to make. Just let it drop, man.
  17. If you hover over a user's name on desktop, a card appears. One of the options on that card is to ignore the user.
  18. Okay, everybody, cut it out. I'm not going to individually warn people, there's plenty of people taking shots at one another. But here are some bullet points: 1. Don't call people names. Just don't. 2. No one here is a more legitimate or honest "fan" than others just because they hold a certain opinion. If the personal attacks continue, I will lock the thread and issue warnings. Please, just stop.
