  1. Thanks for posting this, @Dave Umhoefer!
  2. If there is interest in this, we can consider making it a site feature with its own dedicated space. Like each day you could hit a page and it would display a list of things that happened in Brewers history that day.
  3. Thanks for the history lesson, @Snoebird. That caused me to look into the AL charter teams and I was reminded the Yankees were NOT a charter team! The original Orioles folded after a couple of years and were replaced by the team that became the Yankees.
  4. You can now embed Bluesky posts just like you do Twitter:
  5. It’s not change for the sake of change. Forums tend to get “forum bloat” over time and it’s a good idea to re-think what goes where every once in awhile. But people seem to like this forum so it can stay.
  6. Hi @Jim Seehafer are you looking for our payroll blueprint tool that people are posting? It's here: https://brewerfanatic.com/payroll-blueprint
  7. Not a Brewers affiliate but I'm going to find these jerseys *very* tempting based on that logo. Marlins' High-A Beloit affiliate to play as 'Supper Clubbers' on Fridays - Marlins Minor League Talk - Fish On First FISHONFIRST.COM The Beloit Sky Carp have introduced an "alternate identity" for the 2025 minor league season: "The franchise is proud to pay homage to this heritage by bringing the Wisconsin Supper...
  8. Welcome to the site! And boo to the loss of the Mudcats name.
  9. If you're gonna land Soto, compromises must be made.
  10. Jackson Chourio with a single tenth place point!
  11. The Milwaukee Brewers Players Project continues to grow, as we're now over 50 players in the database; let's look at some of the newest additions. What is the Players Project? It's a community-driven, wiki-style project that focuses on Brewers players of all stripes. It's open to all Brewer Fanatic users and we've had contributions for current players, past players, and players who never even made the major leagues but played in the Brewers farm system. Create your favorite player today! We saw several more players added to the database, largely due to the awesome input from @Michael Trzinski. Huge round of applause to him for kick-starting this project! First up this week is our favorite Three True Outcome hitter from the '80s: Rob Deer. Deer was one of my personal favorites from the mid- to late-1980s, which is when I became aware of baseball. While I didn't really appreciate that plate discipline, those dingers sure were cool. Take a minute to throwback to the time of Aquanet and hair metal bands and read up on Mr Deer. Next up is one of the most fascinating reads you'll find about a baseball player. It begins with promise and spirals from there on out, ending the worst possible way. Dan Thomas (aka. The Sundown Kid) grew up a religious fanatic and struggled with almost every aspect of his professional and personal life. His story ends in tragedy, one you've probably never read before. To finish on a higher note, Cecil Cooper often doesn't get the credit he deserves. One of the best Brewers hitters in franchise history, Cooper is often overlooked behind the deadly duo of Paul Molitor and Robin Yount. But without his 142 OPS+, 121 RBI performance in 1982, Milwaukee probably doesn't make its first (and unfortunately only) World Series appearance. Our goal with the Brewers Players Project is to create the ultimate repository of information on Brewers players of the past and present. Take a few minutes to see if your favorite player has been created and if they haven't, go ahead and get started on creating them today! If your favorite player already has a page, add images, video links, or your own personal experiences to his page! The Milwaukee Brewers Players Project is open to all Brewer Fanatic users. If you're a Brewers history buff or just want to dive into the background of your favorite player, come on board! View full article

  13. Yeah, I agree something should be done about these but walking the line between getting people to comment and back-and-forth with them versus stashing them away is proving to be hard to figure out.
  14. Yeah, this is my vibe as well. I definitely don't want Frelick that long. I likely don't want Turang that long. And I'm still real sketchy on Mitchell.
  15. Keeping Williams, huh? Everyone else seems to already have him written off the roster. I'm in favor of trading him but hoping to get a QO out of him in 2026 isn't a terrible idea.
  16. Well, no one will accuse you of being risk averse. :D
  17. You'd have to sweeten the deal for Cortes, no doubt. But overall, I think this team is quite good and it comes in under the 2024 payroll. Nice.
  18. Whoa, deep cut on this one. Well done!
  19. Yeah, I already had Braun and Cain under dead money on the right hand side of the screen. I need to look into declined options and add payouts.
  20. I’ve been looking at the traffic in the Brewers forum and it’s pretty light. We could easily merge this forum back into that one and give people fewer places to check for conversations. Thoughts? Pros and cons of keeping this forum separate?
  21. Good call on payroll. I’m hearing rumblings that 2025 payroll is expected to be lower than 2024. Not surprising given the Bally situation but still, ugh.
