Is this team... insanely good? I mean, some of this is luck-powered, but man this team looks so much better than I expected.

Last year, Turang's xwOBA was .274. This year it's .292. The problem is that he's making similar contact as he did last year, he's just benefitting from small sample luck. That will run out at some point and he needs to start driving the ball or his numbers will end up similar to 2023.

Turang has a .414 BABIP. Last year it was .268. Unless he starts hitting the ball a lot harder - and soon - his numbers will go into freefall.

Boooo, postponement. Both the Twins and Brewers have been postponed so what was looking to a very pleasant afternoon working has turned into watching the Braves and Mets play, something it would be hard for me to care less about. -

The Brewers can win the series this afternoon before heading to the Great American Smallpark to face the upstart Reds. Hopefully Rea is up to the task; based on early results this season, the Brewers might have to lean on him pretty hard this season.

I'm really hoping I can catch this game, or at least part of it, because I'm more interested in watching Hall than anyone else on the team. His development is absolutely critical for the new-look Brewers.

Another interesting game that might tell us something about both teams' 2024 seasons... The Twins are putting twice-TJed Chris Paddack on the mound while the Brewers are trotting out Joe Ross for his first start. But hey, what about Brice Turang? Is this for real or a spate of good luck at the plate for him?

It's the home opener! Who is going? It's kind of a weird game for a home opener, as it's two split starter/relievers from 2023 going against one another. It's Junis's first start for the Brewers and Louie Varland is a decent Twins prospect who started a handful of games before converting to a shut-down reliever late last season. He's a pretty solid pitcher, think of him as a prospect at or a tick below Robert Gasser, to put it in Brewers terms. The kind of guy who might be okay or pretty good some day but also might fall on his face at any time. Anyway, I'm enjoying the hell out of this new-look Brewers offense, here's to seeing more of it!
