  1. If they're going to coalesce for one last run, now is the time.
  2. Well, that was a wild one last night. Hard not to be dreaming on Burnes and Woodruff in October given the past few days.
  3. Welcome to Brewer Fanatic! Another MKE fan? Great pod!
  4. It would have been fun to sweep the Yankees but ultimately, two out of three is a win. Now comes a slightly more interesting series with postseason implications. The Marlins are fighting for the third Wild Card spot while the Brewers will host the third WC spot if they win the division.
  5. Same. I’m almost all baseball now. I watch some NBA but as a Minnesota resident who formerly lived in Los Angeles, the local team is… uninspiring, to put it lightly.
  6. He’s an excellent manager, I don’t really understand the rising animosity toward him among fans.
  7. That explains the “Nola” in your screen name!
  8. I’m pretty neutral on it but it’s a bold-ass move.
  9. I’ve been running baseball sites for a long time. Opening football weekend is a ghost town every time.
  10. Walking Judge to load the bases. Bold.
  11. Yeah. The 3/4 seeds are basically indistinguishable for that reason. Both get a home series.
  12. I've basically given up hope whether the Brewers can wrap this up before the showdown with the Cubs in the last series of the year. The best I'm hoping for is that both teams have played well and are fighting for home field, not a postseason spot.
  13. Heya, get to go for the sweep while the Cubs keep losing to Arizona.
  14. Don’t tell anyone but if one of our three sites has to go, I also hope it’s the Cubs site. 😆 Really though, Brewer Fanatic is proving that our “community-first and us-last” model works. If we grind it out, focus on the community, and take care of our content creators, we’ll be rewarded in time. We owners are still personally upside-down on this site. And that’s intentional (somewhat). Everybody gets paid before us. In time, there’s enough to go around for everyone if we do our jobs.
  15. Hailstorms, tornados, nuclear apocalypses, etc
  16. Yeah, an IL stint may be over-reacting but I'd strongly consider *a lot* of rest.
  17. Do you just IL him at this point? He's been struggling anyway.
  18. Beat the Yankees again, it's pretty fun.
  19. I think so but I'm not 100% sure. I was talking to someone on NSBB about how I believe the umpires have discretion to advance/recall runners in these situations because the call on the field was out, which effectively ends the play before it should have ended.
  20. Fans are all the same. If you want to think you're reading about a 110 loss team, just visit Twins Twitter some time.
  21. Cubs fans feel the same way, FTR.
