  1. The Brewers could leave New York putting the Yankees under .500 in September, which is a fun thing to think about.
  2. But what's the point? It's not as if the umpire is going to reverse the call. If Counsell needs to have a conversation with the team, that can happen in the clubhouse.
  3. To anyone wondering why Counsell didn't leave the dugout: managers have virtually zero ability to judge horizontal location from the dugout. It was the last out of the game. Absolutely nothing is accomplished by getting out there and berating the umpire. That conversation can happen back in the clubhouse with the team.
  4. And that was an awful call to end the game.
  5. I missed most of this game. I wish I had missed all of it.
  6. Yelich was completely fooled on every swing and miss in that at-bat.
  7. Oh come on, Joe, your team is going nowhere. Don't try so hard.
  8. Another very early start in the getaway game with the Pirates. The Brewers really need to win this series, as the Cubs continue to refuse to lose.
  9. Another dreaded TBD opponent. Hopefully we don't see a repeat of yesterday.
  10. Showing up flat in Pittsburgh is not a good look, that's for sure.
  11. The Cubs had/have the opportunity to control a lot of the wild card action. They just split a series with the Reds, which didn't amount to much because they blew a late lead in one game. Now they face the Giants, then they face the Diamondbacks.
  12. A disappointing game yesterday but hard to complain too much about a series win against a postseason team.
  13. Yeah, it’s time to start giving guys days off. Once the Brewers are over 95% to win the division then it’s time to start resting as many people as possible as often as possible.
  14. It's just funny. Baseball is such a luck-based game on the individual level. Yes, it's frustrating to see competition get some breaks but it never lasts forever and it's not as if the Cubs will be pushed out of the postseason because of it.
  15. I saw that a Cubs fan recently screamed on Twitter about how lucky the Brewers are. Apparently this is "unfair" or something, I'm not really sure.
  16. A magic number thread on September 1st.
  17. That was a wild one yesterday but thanks to a kicked ball, the Brewers pulled out the win and bailed out Williams. Which is a good thing because today's pitching matchup is not awesome.
  18. If you'd like me to merge those accounts, just let me know via PM!
  19. Welcome to Brewer Fanatic and great username!
  20. I wanted to update everyone on a few things as we head into the stretch and what looks to be another October appearance by the Crew. First, Brewer Fanatic has been humming along very nicely. In July, we broke all traffic records dating back to the earliest data we have for BrewerFan.net in 2016. In August, we demolished every record we set in July. On August 31st, Brewer Fanatic had 11,900 visitors to the site. That's easily the most in the history of the site. So everything is all rosy there and we're super-excited as we head into the final month of the season. A Partnership with WTMJ This is new starting today but you'll see abbreviated Brewer Fanatic content over at WTMJ. In time, we hope to grow this partnership but should you see some of our content over there, know that it has been in the works for awhile and is yet another avenue we will get our dedicated writers the readership they deserve. Obviously, we're quite excited about this and something similar is what helped kickstart Twins Daily into the behemoth it is today. Here is the first example of such content: https://wtmj.com/news/2023/09/01/brewers-fanatic-survived-wrigley-field-craig-tember/ About Site Bugs & Issues I know some of you are rolling your eyes at my lack of responsiveness over site bugs and issues. My hope is that I will be able to spend a significant chunk of the offseason fixing some of these errors and polishing up the site experience. Now that we run three sites, I have to admit to myself that the sites need to go into maintenance mode during the season, there's just too much for me to do on a daily basis. Once the season is over I will begin to whittle down on the significant list of issues that need repair and thanks for all of your patience with these issues. That's all I have for today, thanks for reading and GO CREW!
  21. You know, I think I just don't like the Phillies much.
