Oh, there are certainly risks involved with Correa, one would have to be dumb to not believe that. All I'm saying is that the shenanigans around the Giants/Mets were pretty complicated (such as the Mets using literally the exact same doctor to evaluate Correa's ankle, resulting in the identical report) and should be weighed as such.
And right now, Correa's ankle isn't a problem. It hasn't been a problem since he entered MLB nearly a decade ago. Could it start being a problem tomorrow? Absolutely, hence the caution from the Giants (I disregard the Mets almost entirely, I think they pulled some real shady **** in that situation).
But right now, there's no indication it is or has been a problem from anyone, even inside the organization.
I'll start to be truly concerned about Correa if it's June of 2024 and his OPS is still .730. There are a dozen factors that could be causing him to have a mediocre year and there simply isn't enough information to draw a real conclusion today.
