  1. But it sure looked like he had at least another good inning in him, at least to me.
  2. The Mrs. doesn't look much older. Maybe they are from West Virginia or Arkansas.
  3. I'm sure Kreskin or Jeane Dixon would have pulled Vic, but there was no reason to PH for him at that point. He looked to be pretty much in control to me.
  4. His tirade was awesome because it was filled with expletives!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  5. They may have to just grind instead.
  6. Well, based on what I heard tonight, it wasn't "arguing" like one might do in moot court. It was more like the, ah, "discussions" I used to have with my dad when I was a teenager.
  7. I've always wondered what was said when a manager went off on an ump. Well, tonight I found out. Impressive.
  8. Sunny Kim? Sounds like a female porn star.
  9. I think the umpires are Ned's dumping ground for the frustration he is feeling about his team's play.
  10. Payback for the beaning or just coincidence?
  11. Yankee hating is perpetually fresh.
  12. What? You don't think Snoop rolls in a Chrysler?
  13. nullbyte -- That should have read: When Brady gets back they might plug Hart into right once in a while when they face lefties. Sorry.
  14. When Brady gets back they might plug Hart into right when MKE once in a while when they face lefties.
  15. What's the story with Francis? Did his Little League team have the night off? Sheesh! I hope he told his parents he's playing with the big boys at Coors Field.
  16. I think this is a good breakdown. If it comes down to Jenkins and Lee, I go with Carlos. There production is very similar, as are their salaries. But the trump card is Lee's birthdate -- two years younger than Geoff. If Jenkins or Clark is dealt, that opens a spot for either Hart or Cruz (with the loser going to the bench to provide a major improvement there). I suspect they will give Krynzel another year at AAA; he's still pretty young, so I think they will give him more time playing everyday to see if he can be a regular in the bigs. If not, he would be a nice addition to the major league bench, certainly an improvement over Magruder.
  17. I am as disheartened as anyone about the five game skid. But while things are clearly headed in the wrong direction, they are still just five under -- a winning season is not out of the question, not with 45 games still to play. As for calling up the guys from Nashville, I am dying for that to happen. In fact, I was surprised when either Hart or Cruz didn't get the call to sub for Brady. But the history of this club has been to keep the kids down there for the "playoff experience" (in case a miracle happens and MKE ever makes the post season, I guess). Besides that, I think they will keep those guys down there for the sake of "affiliate relations": I don't think it would sit well with the Nashville owner if the parent club yanked the heart and soul of his team away just as the playoffs began. The Brewers are just getting started in Nashville, and I imagine they want to be there for a while. Ripping the meat of their club away at this point would probably not be a positive step in fostering that relationship.
  18. Laying an egg in front of 41,000 people tonight didn't help matters, that's for sure.
  19. True enough. But maybe he would produce a little at the plate -- at least a little more than Magurder -- to make up for any shaky play in the field.
  20. Wow -- Rickie jumps the yard twice tonight. The timing was interesting: Just when word breaks about his sore thumb, he rediscovers his power stroke. Perhaps he is feeling unburdened at the plate... Anyway, too bad those jacks didn't come with a man or two on base.
  21. DD sure looked horrible in that AB!
  22. That is an alarming pace. But I am hoping it might be like Brett Favre's INTs -- a disturbing part of his game that is minimized by strength of his over all performance. We'll see if that's true for Weeks...
  23. Maybe that JDLR idea wasn't so bad after all...?
  24. JDLR isn't consistent enough throwing strikes. Santana has been more successful in these kinds of situations. So far, at least.
  25. Let's see if the Dynamic Duo of Magruder and Durrington can deliever.
