  1. Do you have the MLB audio package? If so, you should be able to select the WTMJ broadcast.
  2. Two innings -- two double plays. That's not going to help. They are letting Hudson off the hook
  3. The word on Hudson is that his control is suspect. So far (13 balls, 11 strikes) would seem to support that scouting report.
  4. I love the way they continue to jump out front early. Just one run, but a good start, nonetheless. What I didn't like was the Jenkins at bat. He got suckered by the low and inside breaking pitch again. Then wound up hitting a weak roller to second. Both of those things happen to him when he is not going well. I hope we are not seeing the end of his hot streak. Well, if so, at least Overbay and Lee seem to be waking up. There is something to be said for tag-team offense in baseball.
  5. I sure hope that tomorrow they aren't wishes they saved Wise. It seemed like a good day to get both Lehr and JDLR work out of the pen.
  6. It would be a great game for Lehr and JDLR to get some time over the target. Better now than in some tight game a few days from not. In fact, now that Wise has muscled up, I'd sit him (saving his arm for a day when it means something) and let the other guys take over.
  7. Thought he got him there. Lots of close calls tonight.
  8. Whew -- dodged the Pujols bullet!
  9. Absolutely -- JDLR was fine tonight.
  10. In the name of Mr. Ed, Carlos -- get the horse off your back!
  11. Using the above ESPN link will give you access to a link to the Stat Pack. I understand why you want it -- that service rocks!
  12. I'm not a math guy, but I enjoyed this thread. I think I learned something (including that I should never engage you guys in a debate that makes heavy use of mathematical ideas). I appreciate rluzinski's work that resulted in his theory, and also the formula for GPA which incorporates this theory and boils it down to a number that relates to batting average. (While it is hard to know what an .800 OPS means, since I was a kid I knew that a .300 hitter was special. GPA gives me a way to convert OPS to fit on that traditional scale.)
  13. With the 3-1 start to the second half, they need just 19 more wins to equal the 22 they had after the break last year! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/devil.gif
  14. That's how they needed to respond to having their four game streak stopped -- with a solid victory. Now they neeed to earn at least a split in STL.
  15. Then put him on the DL, call up Hart and let Lee and (after he cools off) Jenkins have time off once in a while. Gotta keep those guys fresh and, with the Dog Days coming, Hart might give them a legitmate offtensive threat on those occasions.
  16. Well, not to get all Moneyball here, but Billy Beane had a point when he said they aren't trying to sell jeans with these players.
  17. What's with this 93 mph fastball? I thought he was supposed to be an 89-90 guy. Is he just pumped up?
  18. Thanks for the word on your roommate, GP. Glad to hear things in Point haven't changed much since I went there 25 years ago.
  19. Great inning, Dana! But those sideburns...?
  20. That would be important...if he was an athlete. Fortunately, he is a ball player.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  21. Point? As in Stevens Point? As in UWSP?
  22. It will be interesting to see Eveland...but in this situation? Not sure this is the best place to drop him in for the first time.
  23. Wes seems to have found his niche as a PH.
