  1. I agree with most of this, but Yelich is going to play a lot in the OF. I see no reason to transition him to 1B unless you expect his hitting to bounce back significantly, because his bat is pretty bad at 1B. Taylor could be traded.
  2. Any team can have a 3 game winning or 3 game losing streak at any time. So, sure, it's possible. ESPN has the brewers with a 25% chance of making the playoffs; that's about right. But those chances can change considerably every day the teams play.

  4. The IL isn't known for huge offensive numbers (like the west half of the PCL), so I'm wondering why several of our promotions to AAA have better batting stats than they did in AA.
  5. He can pray for a rainout or two. In Las Vegas.
  6. Right now ESPN has the brewers' chance of making the playoffs 27%, which seems right. But if they win tomorrow and SD and PHL loses, it could take a healthy jump up. It ain't over until it's over, and it won't be over until at least the end of the weekend.
  7. He gave up 2 or fewer runs in 4 of his starts. But how did you possibly misconstrue my saying: "By no means is it Alexander's fault."
  8. I think we no longer have a failure to communicate.
  9. so tell Dr Freud, this reluctance to use the word suck. . .what did your father do to you? ? Relatively, Woodruff sucked.
  10. I would have had my pitcher throw at his head on every pitch, even in the 9th inning of a tied game, with the bases loaded.
  11. By no means is it Alexander's fault. He is what he is, a AAAA pitcher. It's the GM's fault to not acquire a modestly effective SP.
  12. you're supposed to read the words in parentheses too.
  13. If we do, we will call it Brinsoning him.
  14. It would be the height of idiocy. I don't see it happening (barring a near-minimum deal).
  15. He didn't give up many runs in his first 3 starts. He was giving up hits and it was clear his results were better than his ability. It's a GM failure that he started more than 5 games.
  16. plus their suckiness (relative to last year) when they did pitch.
  17. And if you are, are you actually Craig Counsell?
  18. My point is you don't sit him against LHP because he does better against them. Are you really arguing this?
  19. And trevor Kelley strikes out the side (plus a walk) to close out the game.
  20. And Turang doubles to plate another run.
  21. So the Sounds can bunt. Two bunt singles (Lipka and Ruiz) score a run. Wish they did more of that in MKE.
  22. Nice win after a bad start by Lauer. Our SP really need to step it up if the team is going anywhere.
  23. For the season, they are batting .251 with RISP, which is higher than their overall average. So usually they do better than expected.
