    I think if it is between Carlson vs. Joseph they will pick Joseph. He has the most experience and an appreciatively longer/stronger leg. However, I think Gutey will do everything he can to find a more accurate kicker via trade or during cutdowns tomorrow.

    I really don’t think either the Cubs or Cards make the playoffs. The Wild Card teams most likely are the Padres, Diamondbacks with the third WC either the Braves or Mets.

    Actually, I think Joseph has a much bigger leg than Carlson. He’s made a 61 yard FG in an NFL game. Carlson’s longest is 57 yards. However, I agree with most everyone on this site that % made FG is most important and they should see what else is available before game 1.

    The answer to the led of this article is obviously. All the pitcher needs to do is shake the catcher off if he doesn’t like the call. Between Murphy and pitchers throwing to Contreras the main concern is they don’t hurt their feelings. I sure hope Quero comes back healthy next season, because Contreras sure has had his defensive issues this year.
