Not cutting anyone down at the knees. Just looking at Hall’s past history and the actual facts as they stand today (or on May 29th). When he is a SP, he loses 2-3 mph off his fastball, which ends up becoming very hittable. There was only one game this season that he’s thrown over 5 innings, He averages 1.65 hits/inning, 0.61 BB/inning, 0.8 Ks/inning, a 7.11 ERA and a game score of 36. Please explain those stats? I’m not speaking hope and or what I really want very badly to see. I know facts aren’t very popular these days. If you remove his inclusion in the trade how to you view his performance to date as a SP. Looking at his success in 2023 as a RP it probably is best starting him in the bullpen coming back from his injury. There he has a better chance of increasing his confidence from his bad start to the year. Maybe when he builds up his innings and the state of the Brewers SP and RP at a time try him again as a starter with a short leash.
