  1. Yep. Tauchman took advantage of some breaks last night. Wiemer and Yelich did the same today.
  2. For as much complaining as goes on about the Brewers' offense, they've done some great work this series, including against two all-stars in Steele and Stroman.
  3. Makes up for the Cubs' batted ball luck in the 9th yesterday.
  4. At least this year it's statistically true.
  5. It's not just the refusal to draft a 1B. That's just one part of Stearns'/Arnold's deemphasis on the position. It's also the lack of resources they devote to figuring the position out, including in FA and trades. Cris Carter, Eric Thames, Jesus Aguilar, Justin Smoak, Rowdy Tellez. These are all guys they've picked up off the scrap heap or who were cast-offs from other teams.
  6. Again, 84th percentile in OAA...That leads all qualified NL left-fielders. Of course, he would have the worst range of our OFs considering Wiemer and Perkins are both CFs and among the best defenders in the league. Among LFs leaguewide, he's been the best or second best.
  7. Seriously, though, this is what happens when you refuse to draft corner infielders and pretty much exclusively draft up the middle.
  8. The stats disagree with you. He's been the best or second best LF in the National League this year, depending on which metrics you look at.
  9. I'm pretty sure I never said he should be the #3 hitter in the order...Adames plays elite defense at a premium position, so obviously he has an advantage over Hiura on the roster. The comparison should be Hiura vs. Winker/Rowdy.
  10. Apparently you don't know what you're talking about. He's in the 84th percentile in OAA this year.
  11. I'm aware. I'm just saying it shouldn't be a one for one comparison with Adames because Adames is an elite defender, whereas Hiura is the opposite.
  12. Yelich has been a gold-glove caliber LF this year...
  13. They put up as many runs against Steele tonight as he's given up since May. It will come down to Freddy, who's had success against the Cubs.
  14. Gotta find a way to get to Stroman tomorrow, and Peralta needs to step up.
  15. Too bad for Devin. Didn't deserve that.
  16. Missed strike 3 comes back to haunt...
  17. Even Yelich's outs are pretty right now.
  18. Gotta admit. This is impressive what the Brewers offense is doing against Steele.
  19. Maybe Anderson will have one of those "new father" hot streaks.
