Not really. Made good pitches. Gave Rutschman a high fastball (though still a strike) that he wasn't able to get on top of and then struck out Santander.
Absolutely devastating for the Rangers and DeGrom’s HOF case.
I would say the Mets knew what they were doing, but then they went ahead and signed a 40 year old Justin Verlander…
That’s interesting because I actually have high confidence we’ll get meaningful improvement in the rotation when Woody and Miley get healthy and Burnes and Peralta pitch closer to their abilities.
Nah. I'm pretty confident in saying he's finished at this point, and that he has been finished since last September. His peripherals, even coming into this game, are absolutely atrocious and whatever velocity he still had is gone.
Our woes against LHP would be helped if people who are supposed to hit LHP and have th/o their career hit LHP actually decided to hit LHP (i.e., Brosseau, Mike).
Yep. Wasn't expecting the Urias news. Pleasant surprise.
About time Brosseau got optioned. Terrible defense and can't hit LHP now, which is what he's on the roster for.
Turang lives to fight another day (or two days).
Joey Wiemer over the past week: .333/.478/.611/1.089....And is our main lefty killer other than Contreras. Hopefully he has a long ball in him tonight.
Let's see how close I get...
Miller 2B
Contreras C
Anderson RF
Yelich DH
Monasterio SS
Brosseau 3B
Singleton 1B
Wiemer CF
Perkins LF
Overall, we'll be glad to have the right-handed bats of Adames and Urias back.
Great, now Monasterio has a concussion. You literally can't make this stuff up. Anyone who wants to complain about where this team is at right now is just a negative nelly...
