  1. I don't think we need to call up Henry, but we definitely need to get Contreras more at-bats at DH. That's something I've been advocating for pretty strongly.
  2. It’s only mid-May, obviously, but this would be a big win, considering the next time we play the Cards is in mid-September. Harder to make up the ground they’ll have to make up with zero head to heads until September. We’ll need a 6/7 inning start from Corbin, but I hope CC doesn’t shy from using Devin and Strzelecki if need be with the day off tomorrow.
  3. Glad we’re not going 0-6 this week. Still some work to be done before they come back home. Would be great to win the series.
  4. Big-time. Hader trade continues to pay off. lol
  5. Oh just meant that it means he's headed to the IL for a long time, as it's the same injury Freddy had last year.
  6. An IL stint. Same injury Freddy had last year.
  7. Training staff not having a banner start to the season.
  8. I'm sure walking Contreras to get to Arenado will work out real well for us.
  9. Lauer was always going to pitch in one of the games. Probably between Houser and Peralta. Miley being injured factors in during the Astros series.
  10. I hate the Rockies almost as much as I hate the Cardinals.
  11. What's the point of Mike Brosseau if he's not going to mash lefties.
  12. April/May is "Miller Time" apparently. Hopefully we can ride him till Urias gets back.
  13. I always love how you're nowhere to be found except after losing streaks/18-1 losses. It's almost like we have some key guys out due to injuries...
  14. Not ready for prime time.
  15. As hot as the Rays have started the season, I don’t think you can ever label a sweep “likely” in MLB.
  16. My preferred lineup for tonight against the lefty Montgomery, who we haven’t been able to hit at all since he was traded to the evil Redbirds. Yelich LF Miller 2B Adames SS Contreras DH Ruf 1B Brosseau 3B (cross your fingers) Anderson RF Caratini C Taylor CF
  17. Whose bright idea was it to call Varland back up despite his rehab stats?
  18. Coming into today, Brewers have the 3rd best record in the NL. Not that much of a dumpster fire. Cardinals also have less series against the NL Central to make it up. Within their capabilities, but far from an easy task.
  19. They've still got a ways to go due to the hole they dug themselves. But I think in the back of everybody's mind they still feared the Cardinals.
  20. If Frelick were healthy, it would be a lot easier. Particularly when Wiemer has been such a crucial component of our MLB-leading defense.
  21. Hopefully he earns it rather than by default. Has always had the stuff.
