  1. Those Cardinals weren't in nearly as bad a position in the standings or pitching/defense-wise as the current iteration...
  2. Yelich has just matched his fWAR (2.2) from last year in less than half the games played. Not even halfway into the season, Yelich is worth as much as he has been since 2019…
  3. You gotta exercise patience, man. The guy was just activated off the IL last week after playing in 1 total game before that. Way too early to think about anything. I believe someone did answer your question about options. Urias does have option(s) remaining , whereas Adames likely has surpassed the veteran threshold.
  4. Yelich might be our all-star this year..
  5. Winker was key today too with his RBI single and his 2BBs, one of which started the 8th inning rally. Another player people have been wanting to ship out of town.
  6. True. I’m just saying we should be looking at the 112 and 110 wRC+ he’s produced the past two years and not his mere 35 PAs this year.
  7. No. Because 1) he has a track record, so you let him figure it out AND 2) we don’t have any better options to replace him
  8. Wasn’t referring to your comment. There were others that said they wished he had been traded or wondering whether he still had minor league options.
  9. Comeback win for the sweep. A happy Father’s Day indeed.
  10. Maybe we should give Urias more than 30 at-bats before wanting to send him to the minors or trade him…
  11. Great at bat by Willy. Too bad a bunt isn’t an option with Rowdy up.
  12. True. Though a DFA is fine when you have better options in the minors.
  13. 110 wRC+ and 2.3 fWR last year. 112 wRC+ and 2.1 fWARthe year before. That’s the exact same player. His counting stats were only down because he was on the IL to start the year.
  14. He was the exact same player last year. And he’s got what, 30 at bats on the season…
  15. The day that Tapia is DFA’d and Frelick gets his well-deserved callup will be a happy day.
  16. Yeah. That’s what I meant. Not next week obviously, but sometime after that. Sooner than later, the needs of the big league club will win out.
  17. Call-up might be imminent with them trying to get him RF work. Probably not next week. But maybe the week after.
  18. What were we supposed to get for a converted third baseman with a season ERA of 6.46 and a career ERA of 5.07?
  19. I wish you could guarantee Megill would be able to put the ball in the strike zone from one game to another. Because he would easily be our solution in the 8th inning.
  20. Artificial turf these days is effectively grass. We're a long ways removed from Astroturf. Recent ballparks with retractable roofs like ours, such as Texas and Miami, have artificial turf.
  21. Perkins has done mighty fine lately. Get Frelick up here and all of a sudden we have ourselves an OF.
  22. Remove Strzelecki for Milner. He was playing with fire there.
  23. Welcome to the world of the living Rowdy.
