  1. They need to make the Montreal Expos happen. Baseball won't be whole for me until they're back. Then, put the other team in Vegas, and realign the divisions a la. the NFL.
  2. Bogaerts would be a great get for the Brewers if we can find a way to do it. Prospect cost won't be insurmountable considering his impending free agent status. Maybe Mitchell and Small/Kelly? I would probably pull the trigger.
  3. Imagine how much more complaining about the offense there would be if we had signed Avi Garcia or Nicholas Castellanos, like some people wanted, instead of trading for Renfroe. And we managed to rid ourselves of JBJ in the process...
  4. Brewers have now scored as many runs against Urena as his last three starts combined, including against the Dodgers and Padres...
  5. We have to make Urena throw pitches, especially when he doesn't strike guys out. Going up there swinging at everything is just playing right into his hands.
  6. In his 3 starts for the Rockies, Urena has basically shut down the Dodgers, Padres, and Pirates. I'm not surprised by the first 2 innings. Just gotta keep at it.
  7. No, but he's also done this against the Dodgers and Padres...You don't have to turn everything into a dig against the lineup.
  8. "Substandard for him" is the key. Burnes' standard is 7 innings/0-2 runs/double digit Ks. But he's not gonna do that every start. An ace does what he did last night with his "D" stuff. As far as MLB pitching in general, last night's start was slightly above average. I do agree that we need innings from Woody tonight. Rockies are a pesky lineup.
  9. Woody making Louisville Slugger a lot of money right now....
  10. I wouldn't call Burnes' start last night "rough". It was substandard from him for sure, but that's a good start for a lot of MLB pitchers.
  11. Yep. As a pure rental, Benintendi is simply not going to get into Wiemer/Frelick/Turang/Mitchell territory. Why I like him and his fit.
  12. Go get Soto, Yankees. We'll just take Benintendi...
  13. Looks like we'll miss Devers for our series next weekend in Boston. Just placed on the 10 day IL...
  14. So, basically a Freddy 2.0 situation. I like it. Ashby has as good of stuff as anybody on our staff other than maybe Burnes. Now, time for him to work on putting it all together.
  15. I think it makes perfect sense. Urena vs. Woodruff is pretty self-explanatory, for one thing. Urena has been decent in his short stint with the Rockies this year, but this is still the same guy that we DFA'd because we didn't find him worthy of taking up a roster spot at the very back-end of the bullpen. Also, the Brewers are just better than the Rockies...
  16. Was at the game tonight, so wasn't able to follow the game thread. Having now done so, I don't know what to say... Selling when we're in playoff position for both the division and the wild card? A team that is really bad? Back to the Selig era? Like, c'mon....
  17. Tonight’s the difference between Corbin and virtually every other pitcher on earth. Had his “D-“ stuff today and still went 5 innings 2 runs to preserve a one run lead….
  18. I know some people on here are not the biggest fans of Benintendi. However, I believe that he would be a great antidote for what ails this offense; namely, a lack of contact and situational hitting. Also, he gets on base at a really good rate and plays solid corner outfield defense. Basically, it would eliminate the need to ever have to play McCutchen in the outfield again and enable us to DH him less against RHP.
  19. You are correct on both counts. Thanks. Either way, Hiura's return appears imminent.
