Agree with you to some extent. Our weak schedule has definitely helped, and as presently constituted, I would put this offense in the mid to lower-elite tier of MLB offenses, with a potential Yelich revival being an important X-factor. I also agree that we could still very much stand to benefit from a big bat acquisition (Josh Bell anyone?). With that being said, I would just like to point out that many people said the exact same thing about the 2019 Nationals and 2021 Braves not being able to stand a chance against the Dodgers in a playoff series, and we all know how that turned out. Our pitching alone gives us just as good of a shot as those teams had. Any sustained improvement we get from the offense puts us right up there with the Dodgers in my opinion.

Count me in for either Bell or Gallo (or both?). Also worth noting that Gallo can play a fine Center Field as well....

Man, now you're stirring up the warm fuzzies in me. Jeromy Burnitz was my first Brewers love! Well, him and Richie Sexson. Was so devastated when they traded him to the Mets in what ended up becoming a cost-saving measure. Tried becoming an Alex Ochoa stan thereafter, but, for obvious reasons, it just wasn't the same...Darn you Wendy Selig Prieb!

Christian Yelich currently has an XSLG of .536. That surpasses anything he produced with the Marlins and is only about 30 points short of his 2018 MVP campaign. With the way he has been scalding the ball lately (and pretty much the whole year, actually), I think we're getting very close to Marlins/pre-All Star break 2018 Yelich. Let's wait and see how he does on this roadtrip, but it can't be overstated how huge such a development would be for this team. -
Rowdy Tellez currently tops the major leagues with an .815 XSLG, comfortably ahead second and third place holders Aaron Judge and Mike Trout...

Unless he goes on a major slump in May and June, Adames is almost assured of being an all-star this year with Lindor. Shortstop production way down in the NL thus far without Tatis.

I really hope Cousins comes back and looks more like the guy we saw last year, because between him, Gott, Williams, and Hader, our bullpen would be nearly untouchable....

I kinda want Hader to pitch today, as I'm fully expecting he'll end up being called upon to preserve a slim lead at some point in Atlanta this weekend. Don't want him to be too rusty in that scenario....

With everyone in the baseball world so awestruck by our pitching these days, I'm wondering why more clubs haven't tried to follow our formula by breaking in their prized pitching prospects in the bullpen first. Greene seems like he'd be perfect for such a course.
