Jace may have a couple weeks before he's going to end up being replaced by Turang. Especially with Urias coming back, who's going to be playing pretty much everyday, his value becomes significantly more limited.
-
Okay. I don't really care if we we win at this point, considering we won the first two. Just would like to see them get some baserunners and put some pressure on the Cubs' pitchers.
-
Okay. Time to score some runs, and help out Burnes! Stroman has left a few pitches out over the plate. Time to take advantage.
-
I'm pretty confident that we will score 1 run in this game. So, not too worried yet.
-
Yeah. I think if he was around 100 pitches even Counsell would have let him try. But he was at like 110 or something and it was late in the season with that big division lead. They were clearly thinking about the playoffs with that one.
-
With Cain beginning to look older, I'm glad that Taylor is starting to show a lot more with the bat.
-
Yes.
-
Let's get burnes some run support, today.
-
Unlucky. 113 MPH off the bat. Yelich hitting the ball really well last few games.
-
Plus, I think most of us are still expecting that they'll add a stellar bat or two during trade season. Oh, what could very easily be!
-
I almost forgot that, at one point, we chose to start Zack Godley over Lauer last year....
-
No, in my view, you are not one of the negative ones around here. Those few users are easily identifiable. You are actually able to make contributions other than saying that the offense is bad, and don't run away as soon as we score more than 3 runs in a game. I sincerely appreciate that. As for Cain, yeah, this year may be rough. But I think they're going to give him ample opportunities cause he sure as heck can still field the ball.
-
That's pretty much the hitting philosophy anywhere you go in MLB these days. It's all about exit velocity and launch angle.
-
Also, have an infield/center field option in Turang, who is beginning to, at long last, show some real power in AAA. Makes you excited to think how these guys will either contribute to the team in the near future OR bring back a middle of the order hitter that will help launch us in to that next tier of offenses.

I would send down Hiura and DFA Uréna. Milner then would probably be the next to go from the pen for me.
-
Honestly, his tremendous 2018 on its own was worth almost all of his deal. Then, add in the Gold Glove in 2019 and another solid year last season, and it was an excellent signing. This year might be a littler rougher, but I'm sure they took that into account from the start.
-
Despite Cousins' minor struggles thus far, I'm willing to give him a lot of leeway to figure it out in the back-end of the pen. Stuff is absolutely filthy, just a matter of throwing strikes and getting ahead of hitters.
-
Remember this.....we ended the Cubs for-sure "dynasty" in 2018 and then proceeded to break them up in 2021!

TWO OUT RUNS
-
I'm not going to even say it, but we're sure as hell all thinking it right now....
-
Yeah. And we're not even that far removed from the arguments about Hader being converted into a starter....Gotta admit, I was one of those people. Thought he was our one chance of developing an ace pitcher. Could never have imagined.....
-
Burnes ready to make it 3 tomorrow.....
-
Trade for Buxton? @Brock Beauchamp
-
Not too mention we have Turang beginning to pound on the door in AAA....
-
Challenge it! Almost positive i saw that hit his bat. Oh well.
