  1. I'm not going to say it for fear of jinxing it, but I'm very much thinking it.
  2. I actually see a resemblance to the old Seattle Pilots coloring/wording. Wonder if they're trying to draw on that heritage, or maybe I'm just crazy.
  3. This is not a day I'd play Hiura necessarily. Just shivering at the thought of him trying to make contact with a 101 mph Greene fastball. Despite his struggles against right-handers, I actually would have liked to see McCutchen in the lineup with his still-elite fastball hitting abilities.
  4. I guess I just don't see it happening. Maybe if we're to the last year on his deal, and all efforts to extend him have failed (which haven't even started yet from the comments of him and Attanasio/Stearns). But there's just no precedent for trading a top 3 pitcher in the midst of a prime competitive window. I get that we have to do things differently given that we're a small market, however, Burnes is the last guy on this team that I'd consider trading at this point in time.
  5. Brewers currently have the highest probability of winning their division in the major leagues, per 538 (76%), with an 89% likelihood of making the postseason. You figure that one of these days we are bound to get hot in October and go on that magic carpet ride to the World Series. With a seemingly resurgent offense and an already top-flight pitching staff, why not this year?!
  6. Exactly. The main indication for me is that he's not having those at-bats he had last year where he looks completely lost at the plate. He's making contact for the most part and hitting the ball hard. The key is just keeping the ball elevated and not hitting those choppers to the right side.
  7. Okay. Thought Hiura might have figured something out after his hot spring training, guess not. Bring Brosseau back up. He didn't deserve to be sent down anyways.
  8. Honestly, I feel like Yelich is getting pretty close to being where he was with the Marlins.
  9. Yep. Nice thing about Tellez is he hits the ball very hard AND he doesn't strikeout. Good recipe for sustained success.
  10. The guy hasn't even allowed a walk on the season.....
  11. Freddy at 88 pitches....I would bring him back out for the sixth and take him out if just one batter reaches, probably for Gott. Let's see if CC is thinking what I'm thinking.
  12. Anyone else think it's time to do away with the dropped third strike rule?
  13. Can someone call up the Cubs and ask them what we're supposed to do now?
  14. Maybe if we were facing the Dodgers, but these are the Reds we're talking about....And our offense isn't that bad. It's not elite, but it's not terrible or bad even.
  15. Good. Avoided the blow up inning. I don't blame Freddy too much for what took place there. Bottom line is that we gotta score some runs against a pitcher with an 7+ ERA.
  16. Get out if it with only one or two given up, and we'll be fine.
  17. What makes it so frustrating is that it's every single night with these guys.
