  1. Terrible swing decision by Ortiz there. Just bailed out a guy who's been all over the zone.
  2. Contreras slowly playing himself out of clear all-star status.
  3. Meanwhile, Frelick gets to face a lefty....This season has been about development from the start. It's great that we're winning and you're always trying to do things that help you win, but we're down 3 man. Now, watch Contreras hit a 3 run shot to make me look like a fool. lol
  4. I mean the kid is putting together some of the best ABs of his young career and this is the move that will win us the game? I thought we were past this...
  5. Bauers for Chourio down 3? You're killing me Murph.
  6. Way easier said than done when he's been pumping 97 MPH fastballs with massive IVB at the top of the zone leading to that pitch.
  7. That's a great pitch. Hard to blame Willy there.
  8. Black and Chourio started this off with two really good ABs.
  9. A lot. He's a top 100 prospect himself now. Would probably involve trading Contreras to Cleveland.
  10. He's not a superstar or even a star, but he can bat in the top 5 of a World Series-caliber order as he did for Philadelphia. Averaged 2 WAR/162 and a 125 wRC+ in his career. That's a good player, and you easily take that with what we've gotten from the 1B position since Prince left.
  11. He's healthy now. Just took him a year longer to recover unfortunately.
  12. What a boon he's been to a rotation that's been in sore need of length and effectiveness. If he can continue to limit the walks and keep the ball in the ballpark, this could be sustainable. At the very least, he's pitching like a guy who doesn't want to forever be known as the guy acquired for Junior Caminero. Well done!
  13. Fastest home to home in baseball this year at 14.75 secs. Faster than Elly de La Cruz. Speed, power, defense (91st percentile OAA). The whole freaking package.
  14. And this is why I was never sold on Carlos Rodriguez as a prospect. There's nothing special about his stuff nor his command.
  15. The over the top criticism of Attanasio along the lines of the OP never ceases to astound me. Since Attanasio bought the franchise from the Seligs before the 2005 season, the Brewers, with a .517 W%, have had the fourth best record in the NL and the eighth best record in all of baseball. In the five years preceding the sale during the early 2000s, we had a W% of .410. Worst in the NL and second worst in MLB behind only Tampa Bay. The 90s weren't much better, as we were 22nd in MLB with a .478 W%. Reading this you'd swear Ghostbear is a Gen Z'er instead of an "old" player and coach. Attanasio has taken this franchise from the laughingstock it was under the Seligs-Priebs to arguably the preeminent small-market franchise, where the big markets are continually plucking our brain talent (e.g., Stearns, Counsell). And yet we just keep chugging along....
  16. This is the guy for the Brewers to target imo. Pitching like a bonafide #1 (with the peripherals to back it up) who you could even slot ahead of Freddy and doesn't have the innings concerns of a Crochet nor will he come with the exorbitant cost that #1's usually require. If they had to part with Lara and Wichrowski to get Flaherty, I could probably stomach it. Lara is a nice prospect, but the power just isn't there to make us really regret it and we have the OF depth to spare. I also currently rate other arms from the 2023 class higher than Wichrowski. Get Flaherty and a Fedde and all of a sudden you're in business with your rotation and very well-positioned to compete against Phi and LA.
  17. That and they've choked literally every single time since 1966. Agreed that it's a favorites type of year. If any darkhorse is going to make a cinderella run, I feel like it's going to be Austria, despite their tough group with France and the Netherlands. They're on a roll. My pick is Portugal, though. Feel like everything's coming together for them to send Ronaldo out on a high note like Messi at the World Cup (though, Messi might actually still play in 2026).
  18. It means Snoop Dogg is in the house!
  19. Jimenez and Kopech for Black would most definitely not be worth it. Jimenez is hugely injury prone and has seen his production nosedive the last couple years. He's as good as gone for the White Sox with his $16.5 mil team option. It's pretty much the same deal with Kopech. Though, he doesn't have exorbitant team option that Jimenez does. No way should you have to give up a top 100 prospect for those guys.
