  1. I will take this version of Mis in the big leagues, please.
  2. All I want is a Sandlot game. Is that really too much to ask for?
  3. I wouldn't have much of a problem with Black playing the "Yelich role" between DH and LF. Yeli played every day under this same roster configuration. Mainly, we need a lefty bat who can get on base in Yelich's absence. If Haas isn't going to play, then I don't think it's worth having him on the roster.
  4. Also, it's probably time to think about jettisoning Haase. Hasn't played in nearly a week. He had the nice hot start, but just not sustainable with his underlying metrics. Could really use another left handed bat without Yelich, and we have Black just sitting there in AAA and already on the 40 man.
  5. Would really like to see Garrett Mitchell in the leadoff spot instead of Turang tonight. Mitchell has earned it with his plate discipline gains this year. Also, has a 161 wRC+ over the last month.
  6. Depends what you mean by “actual infielder”. If you mean sucks at fielding the infield and sucks at the plate…That’s nothing that the 40 man roster-crunched Brewers couldn’t get from Black, who they have stuck at AAA to this point, if they really wanted. Bottom line is Monasterio is actually solid on defense and versatile and we know how the Brewers value run prevention. There’s a reason why Biggio has been DFA’d by two different teams this year, including the Mookie Betts-less Dodgers.
  7. I doubt they'd sign Biggio over simply recalling Tyler Black. Problem is neither hit from the right side.
  8. Anyways, tough series to open the month, but I still feel pretty good about my 15-13 prediction. Bullpen getting healthier (Hudson, Megill, etc.) is going to be key imo along with some positive regression on offense from guys like Contreras and Hoskins.
  9. Honestly, who cares. Everything that poster posted was factual. You can do whatever you want ultimately, but don't act like the rest of us can't see right through the shtick.
  10. I mean he predicted 16-12. Not 19-9. So.... And everything he pointed out about you is true. Just a difference of opinion? Not by the looks of it.
  11. Dbacks have come back to take the lead against the Pirates with Skenes out of the game.
  12. Willy's been one of our best hitters along with Chourio and Mitchell lately.
  13. EV alone maybe. EV and LA is what matters. Brewers have a .319 xBA vs. .259 xBA for Nationals. Just brutal.
  14. No one's forcing themselves to love this trade. They're just choosing to not make a definitive assessment of the trade after a single start.
  15. You're not the only one either. Some thought he had more value and put him in some unrealistic trade proposals, but it's been clear for a while now that his value is minimal.
  16. Junis is making $7 million with a $3 million buyout for next year and putting up zero WAR. That's a negative asset. And is borne out by BTV ($-3.2 million SV). Wiemer has a surplus value of just under $7 million per BTV. That's down by more than 50% compared to a year ago. If you had asked me a week ago, I would've said the exact same thing.
  17. Yeah. Quite frankly, the cost was pretty negligible. Junis is a negative, expiring asset and Wiemer has very low value at this point.
  18. Re. Montas. I saw some stuff to be encouraged by tonight. Particularly regarding his velo and the 0 walks. I also saw some hard contact given up and pitches left out over the plate. Conclusion: Too early to say anything definitive. As I said, I feel pretty confident that he can be an improvement over Keuchel. How much of any improvement that is we'll see. I think there's stuff for our pitching development staff to work with.
  19. That Keuchel was supposed to be some kind of improvement? I don't quite recall that argument being made. I mostly remember people crossing their fingers regarding a guy who was seemingly washed and who we purchased for $1.
  20. Montas is effectively replacing Keuchel's spot in the rotation. I feel pretty safe saying that's an upgrade at this point.
