He was the number 2 most of last year when our pitching was the best in baseball. He's at minimum a top 25 pitcher which is right where you want a #2 to be.
Yes. If they're going to have him on the major league roster, which I agree with because facing MLB pitching is invaluable for him, he needs to get regular ABs. Our lineup is good enough to have him doing that at the bottom of the order.
They would have little egg on their face as he's the youngest player in the majors and all of 20 years old. I have no problem with him being on the MLB roster or in AAA. I just want him to get ABs.
Under zero circumstances should he be used as a short side platoon bat. Not even taking into account the fact that he's always hit RHP better than LHP.
Eloy Jimenez wouldn’t really have a place on the Brewers roster. Barely plays the OF anymore, and we already have a couple of guys who take up almost all of the DH ABs.
