  1. I'll take Erick Fedde for half the cost and more innings as it pertains to this year.
  2. This is why I'm expecting TJ surgery for Gasser. Just how it goes with the Brewers' initial evaluation and second opinions.
  3. Why I said the best thing is to take the entire second half for what it was. And by that measure he did mash. It's hard when dealing with a prospect that young as the swings in production could be due to any number of things, not limited to the tacky ball.
  4. Again, going month by month is a bit arbitrary imo. The several games in AAA of that month long stretch of games I included actually dragged down his OPS. If you just included just the AA ABs, it was .876 or a 130 wRC+. Best thing imo is to just take the entire second half for what it was and by that measure he did mash with a wRC+ of 144.
  5. Honestly, going strictly month by month is a bit arbitrary. You could pick another month-long stretch from 8/23 to 9/23 (including several games of AAA), for example, where he put up an .860 OPS... For the most part, he mashed in the second half last year, as evidenced by an overall OPS well north of .900. Except for like a two week stretch in mid August where he was banged up and eventually was forced to sit out a few games.
  6. All things considered, pitching was fine today. The zero runs off the bases loaded was the killer.
  7. Going to need a dinger or two now, as I don't think we're getting many more baserunners.
  8. For my money, Wheeler (along with Skubal maybe) is the best pitcher in the game.
  9. Two things can be true. Bauers has to know where the defense is positioned and take advantage.
  10. Yeah, he should have definitely scored there.
  11. Can't give an elite pitcher a break like that.
  12. I would add Paul Skenes, too. He's been too dominant despite only 4 starts and has the buzz factor.
  13. Surprised Pham didn't slap Contreras there. He's known for doing that.
  14. What? He's pitching the same.... Freddy Peralta last season: 3.86 ERA/3.85 FIP/88 ERA-/30.9 K%/7.9 BB% Freddy Peralta this season: 3.61 ERA/3.39 FIP/90 ERA-/32.5 K%/7.9 BB%
  15. He was the number 2 most of last year when our pitching was the best in baseball. He's at minimum a top 25 pitcher which is right where you want a #2 to be.
  16. #2 AT LEAST. That's definitely more than mid-rotation. He's not a 3 starter.
  17. Freddy's at least a #2 starter. Not a bonafide ace like a Burnes, but certainly more than "mid-rotation".
  18. No excuses against this lineup Freddy.
  19. Well, everyone can stop complaining now.
  20. But Junk isn’t even pitching tomorrow….
  21. Sal Frelick needs to be putting the ball in play a lot more than he is.
  22. Robin Yount really struggled at 18-20, too. Which should be the expectation for guys that young.
  23. Yes. If they're going to have him on the major league roster, which I agree with because facing MLB pitching is invaluable for him, he needs to get regular ABs. Our lineup is good enough to have him doing that at the bottom of the order.
  24. They would have little egg on their face as he's the youngest player in the majors and all of 20 years old. I have no problem with him being on the MLB roster or in AAA. I just want him to get ABs. Under zero circumstances should he be used as a short side platoon bat. Not even taking into account the fact that he's always hit RHP better than LHP.
