    Again, I’m almost certain that Devin is scheduled to pitch tomorrow and CC doesn’t want him pitching back to back before the playoffs. Sucks, but this is a spring training game for the Brewers.

    Monasterio has been worse and adds little power. Now, Turang is a different story.

    Well, if Boushley can get through Happ, Bellinger, and Suzuki without giving up the lead, he’ll have had one of the better relief debuts in Brewers history.

    Oh, you definitely heard it. Non-coincidentally, from the same people that said the Cubs (and the Reds and Cardinals before them) were going to overtake us and win the division. Or at the very least be making us soil our pants this weekend.

    Yep. Ridiculous. Another reason to root for the Marlins to make the postseason instead of the Cubs as Schumaker should siphon off votes from Lovullo and clear things up for CC.

    I'd imagine we'll see Devin tonight regardless of whether we get a lead in the 9th. He needs work, having only pitched once in the last 12 days. While he's among the league leaders in appearances, it would also be nice to get Hoby Milner one more inning before the postseason, too.

    He was appreciably better than Jason Alexander and Chi Chi were for us last year when our starting pitchers went down. A major difference in the opposite season outcomes. Heck of a job, indeed.

    I don't know. As much as I want to eliminate these losers, I won't be that bummed if we lose because I don't want any of our potential opponents to clinch before Saturday. Make them burn through their starters and relievers.

    One of the things that could work heavily to the Brewers' advantage this postseason is the extra off-day added by MLB. Due to that, the Brewers would be able to have one one of their Big 3 start every game up to game 4 of the NLCS.

    Not really. He was still striking out about 40% of the time this year in almost the same # of at-bats. It's always been the same three question marks with him: K rate, GB %, and health...There's a reason Sal Frelick was a more highly regarded prospect.

    40% is, in fact, too much. But he's only had about 120 at-bats, so there's time to reverse that.

    It's possible. But they're not getting cute with Miley in Game 1 to do it. Would probably be Woody.
