  1. Not to mention a way better defensive catcher.
  2. And the Cubs are back in the game...
  3. Thank you for not breaking that bat Contreras. We need you.
  4. I'll take one more and turning it over to Bryse Wilson for a couple.
  5. Pirates have chased Steele after 3+
  6. Braves losing has been the best thing for the Brewers. Now, the Braves will actually want to win against the Cubs next week to wrap up home field advantage over the Dodgers, thereby increasing the chances of clinching the division before that final series.
  7. Carlos! Could've been worse. Nothing hit all that hard. Need Houser to find his command.
  8. It was in the case of Adrian Houser. Exact terminology they used.
  9. Bit of a difference between the top 4 in the Cards lineup and the bottom 5.
  10. Shoot. You're right.
  11. He could be available during the Cubs' series if it's a minimum IL stint. Hopefully that's the case and this is our "Devin punching a wall" injury event.
  12. Well, Reds might be out of the race after blowing a 9th inning lead. Brewers should have a chance to clinch a playoff birth in Miami this weekend.
  13. Different populations. Deer District draws mostly from downtown/MKE residents. A Beer District could draw from outer MKE and suburbs (people likely with deeper pockets).
  14. I've been thinking recently about how this team compares to our 2021 team, which a lot of people were high on going into the playoffs and was a popular WS pick and probably should've won 100 games if not for a late September swoon. C: Narvaez vs. Contreras (big advantage 2023) 1B: Tellez/Escobar vs. Santana/Tellez (slight advantage 2021) 2B: Wong vs. Monasterio/Turang (big advantage 2021) SS: Adames vs, Adames (advantage 2021, though the gap has been narrowing in recent weeks and Adames' underlying metrics indicate he could get to this level) 3B: Escobar/Urias vs. Donaldson/Monasterio (big advantage 2021) LF: Yelich vs. Yelich/Canha (big advantage 2023) CF: Cain vs. Frelick (advantage 2023) RF: Garcia vs. Taylor/Canha (push) SP: Burnes/Woodruff/Peralta/Lauer vs. Burnes/Woodruff/Peralta (based on the regular seasons you obviously would have to go advantage 2021, but the way these pitchers are going right now it becomes a push to advantage 2023) RP: Hader/Boxberger/Cousins/Houser/Ashby vs. Williams/Payamps/Uribe/Milner/Peguero (Big advantage 2023) Overall, these teams compare quite favorably, and I think I like this team more due to the bullpen and the more contact-oriented approach. At least if we have a power outage in the postseason, we should still be able to put up more runs than the 2021 team was able to. Yelich is undoubtedly the x-factor. Will it be enough to make a difference in outcome? We'll see. I think this team could get past the Dodgers in an NLDS series with their pitching and injury issues.
  15. Exactly. From my experience, it's probably less than that. You could probably have room for a lot or two for people who want to tailgate, a parking garage (or lot) for those who don't want to tailgate, and a commercial/retail district.
  16. With Jackson now one step away from the show, thought it might be fun to have a thread predicting when (month/day/year/opponent) our "generational" prospect gets the call, and then look back and see how close everyone gets. Should definitely be a spectacle as memorable as Prince/Ricky/Brauny's call-ups. Perhaps even surpassing them. I think there's an argument for him making the team out of ST next year a la, Jordan Walker, but I have a hard time seeing it as likely given our depth in the OF. My official prediction is his MLB debut comes at home on Friday June 14th against the Reds, following an off-day to get him settled and get everyone hyped up/sell tickets. Anybody have a different day (or even year) in mind? And for a trip down memory lane:
  17. I really, really like the idea Black at 1B. Not as conventional with the power (though Black isn't exactly deficient in that area), but could help solidify what has been a revolving door at that position since Prince walked. I honestly think he should be up right now as a DH against RHP in place of Rowdy. You can count on him to get on base at the very least.
  18. Yeah. Helps that Arenado is ice cold and that Burleson, Gorman, O'Neil are out. But Contreras, Nootbar, and Walker worry me.
  19. I agree with the Mayor here. As the article states, Am Fam has more parking space than Epcot! In "winterizing" Am Fam, there's a real opportunity to develop some of that land in addition. You lose money if that space just sits empty on non-game days. https://www.fox6now.com/news/american-family-field-entertainment-district
  20. He has, but I don't think you can expect a performance like that. I'd be happy with 5 innings, 3 runs. That'd give us a good shot against the Cardinals' pitching.
  21. Yep. Has basically replaced the production (glove included) that we were getting out of Yelich in June/July.
