I think calling him the best reliever in baseball is a pretty big stretch. In the end it comes down to the return, and I think the days of relievers getting eye popping returns are mostly over. I'd really love to be wrong. I hope the Brewers trade him, but I won't be upset if they keep him, comp pick or not.

BA's no worse than #3 all-time in terms of Wisconsin sports announcers. He can call as many games as he wants for as long as he wants.

When I think about it, there's really not many packages I wouldn't accept for Devin. A one year 2-3 win rental on the infield? Sure. Some team's top ten prospect? Hell yes. A Yoho, Hunt, Burke, Wichrowski, Bitonti mid-org prospect? Yea, that'd be great. Lower level dudes with promise? Absolutely. K.C. Hunt is Pipeline's #29 prospect. I'd help Devin pack if we got some organization's K.C. Hunt back.

Given the alternatives, I don't mind Sal working on third base this offseason. If he picks it up and takes a moderate leap with the bat, it would solve a significant problem currently facing the roster. We just need a stopgap for (hopefully) a year. There's a wave of infielders arriving in '26 and beyond and Sal can go back to the OF or turn into a super utility. -

Third basemen had the third worst OPS (.696) across the majors this season, behind second base (.677) and catcher (.680). -

Not everything's in the video. Sounds like you still need a cable or streaming subscription. When asked about over the air broadcasts he says: "I know some teams in other leagues have a smattering of games over the air," he said. "I'm not ruling anything out. There's no way I'm counting on Woody to ever pitch for the Brewers again. Not with that injury. Obviously hoping he returns and does well, but they need six or seven guys they're comfortable with when they break camp. Peralta Myers Rea Civale Those are four locks. I think they give Ashby, Patrick, and Rodriguez chances in the spring to see how they look. Sign #5 type in free agency. Maybe trade for a reliable inning eater, possibly using Black. Hope for the best with Woody and if he makes it back you can always slide guys into the pen.

I mean, Boeve got 426 plate appearances and Pratt had 406. Their time was at least comparable, with Boeve obviously being a lot more productive at the plate against better competition.

They got the pitchers right, but I think Boeve (maybe even Adams and Pena) deserved the nod over Pratt.

#11 on my July prospect rankings. I'm a big believer.

I definitely agree with Made being a better prospect, and part of that is that like I said, we just have access to more information. Made is also making the rounds on more rankings than Perez. But just doing a quick google search from back in 2021 I see Perez popping up here and there. Had a national BP writeup. Pipeline was high on him as an up the middle potential star ranked as high as #4 in the system. Showed up on a top 150 Bleacher Report list. Here is ranked #36 on Prospects 1500.

The only other prospect (besides Chourio) that I remember getting this kind of hype early on was Hedbert.

I think with the stats available it's easier to identify standout prospects earlier. In the past, sure, you had to take DSL and ACL numbers with a huge grain of salt. But when you can add stuff like exit velocity and barrel rate into the equation you can have an idea of what's smoke and mirrors and what's not.
