  1. Yeah they will have 5 picks in the first 2 rounds if they qualify Willy and he heads elsewhere.
  2. Not same pick number. It's 1 pick lower. 67 this year so 68 next year
  3. If we combined the best elements of Shane Smith and Russell Smith that would be a pretty fun pitcher.
  4. Wow when did the Brewers get him? Did I miss a minor league trade?
  5. Adamczewski has absolutely looked the part these first two games in Carolina. Looks like a very advanced bat.
  6. It's funny @Spencer Michaelis said to me that he probably would be transferring to Wake Forest or some other big powerhouse college program from Michigan State and would be in line to be a 1st round pick if he didn't end up signing. As for the Top 100 prospect thing, I'd probably say no because his swing has quite a bit going on which will turn off some evaluators and there are some defensive question marks at 3B.
  7. With Broughton signing for $535K. That leaves $2,115,580 to sign other round 11-20 picks assuming Levonas does not sign.
  8. Really the issue with Mitchell is that he appears to have a Hiura-esque hole at the top of the zone. The defense, baserunning, and plate discipline all being significantly better give him a real shot to make a high K profile work, but I think the high FB is always going to be an issue.
  9. Murphy was really just setting him up for failure. Mitchel struggles against FB with ride and you use him against a pitcher whose best pitch is a FB with ride.
  10. 1 Braves hitter hit his FB. Outside of that 3 struck out, 1 popped out, and 2 hit relative routine lineouts. So 1/7 against his FB is definitely a sign of them having no problems against it.
  11. Mears has pitched 2 games and I'm already dead tired of the "his FB has no movement" comments that I'm seeing all over social media. Dude has the 10th best FB stuff+ among pitchers with 30 IP this year. His FB is genuinely awesome. Yes it's straight but it generates a ridiculous amount of ride. Over the top pitchers like Mears, Megill, Myers all struggle getting horizontal break on their FB but have great ride because over the top arm motions make it far easier to generate backspin and far more difficult to generate side spin.
  12. He also just doesn't move. He would probably have like 60-80% fewer HBP if he just moved out of the way, but if the pitch is coming at him he just stands there and eats it. He's also good at dipping his padded elbows into pitches.
  13. I was already not including the $150K in my numbers
  14. $300K wouldn't be enough to get either Wech or Smith
  15. Yes I am including Levonas not signing. Nunnallee around $1.5M Broughton, Renz, Brummel around $500K Malamazian around $250K That would use up the rest of the bonus pool. We already know Parker isn't signing. Wech is supposedly a hard Oklahoma St commit that would need a sizable bonus to sign. Smith is a Mississippi State transfer portal commit and would be expensive to sign. Dubanewicz is a hard Florida commit and potentially already on campus.
  16. Luis Lara bails out Eduarqui and Vargas who did not seem to know where the ball was. Absolutely incredible hustle
  17. Will be interesting to see how many Day 3 picks they sign tomorrow. I feel like it won't be as many as people are hoping for especially if Nunnallee is one of them as he'd likely eat up a big chunk of the remaining bonus pool.
  18. Yeah he very much looked like a pitcher that had nothing left to prove in the Carolina League.
  19. I’m glad common sense has won and Black is actually being listed at his real height and weight
  20. I can hear that GIF and it's already given me a headache haha
  21. No wonder you can't tell where pitches are being thrown, you are watching games on a potato haha
  22. Are the Stripers using actual pitchers post rain delay or still rocking the position players?
  23. I'm frankly glad we didn't see that one because the audio was posted on twitter and it was something like 92 EV, 354ft haha
  24. Of course Cooper Pratt hits a HR and we have no way of seeing it.
