  1. I personally am team no rentals. If you want to trade for someone it better be someone with at least another year of control.
  2. Yerlin Rodriguez follows up his most dominant inning of the season by giving up a walkoff HR to the first hitter he saw tonight.
  3. That's with the 5% overage. With no Levonas you'd lose his slot and around $60K from the 5% overage.
  4. This isn't necessarily draft signing related, but I thought it was interesting and was draft related. Braylon Payne is 4 days away from being 2 whole years younger than Cooper Pratt who was drafted a year before him. Payne is very young for this draft and would definitely been age appropriate as a HS pick in the 2025 draft. Eric Bitonti is the same way. There were 9 HS position players drafted through the Comp A round in the 2024 draft. Only 3 are younger than Bitonti. Konnor Griffin, Slade Caldwell, and Braylon Payne. Rainer, Morlando, Gillen, Lindsey, Nori, Dix are all older than Bitonti. Bitonti would have been age appropriate for this year's draft and likely goes in the 1st round. We signed him for $1.75M last year which currently looks like a bargain. Hopefully we can look back a year from now and say Payne would be a legit 1st round pick (not under slot) as an age appropriate HS player in the 2025 draft.
  5. Yes he's already signed according to the BrewersPD twitter account but his signing bonus hasn't been announced yet.
  6. With this signing it leaves the Brewers $3,813,720 to sign Levonas, DeBerry, and any round 11-20 picks over $150K. If Levonas doesn't sign, it would leave the Brewers $2,525,580 to sign DeBerry and any round 11-20 picks over $150K
  7. If Levonas didn't sign it would ultimately have a positive impact on the rest of the draft bonus pool. Levonas was going to get well over slot, so if he doesn't sign that would free up the allotted over slot money going to Levonas for players in round 11-20. A player not signing would only hurt the draft bonus pool if you were trying to sign the player for underslot.
  8. Offense has taken a snooze in the system today. Carolina with 2 hits, Lara just got Wisconsin's first hit, and both Biloxi and Nashville currently have no hits.
  9. @Seth Stohs or @Brock Beauchamp Tobias Myers and Oliver Dunn can be removed as they have graduated from prospect status.
  10. Some great pitching from DSL Brewers 1 in the 3-0 win in the resumed game started on 7/9. Ayendy Bravo - 4 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO Wande Torres - 3 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 7 SO Carlos Canales - 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO That's a total line of 9 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 15 SO. Have yourselves a day!
  11. Nunnallee is also committed to Virginia compared to Letson being committed to Purdue. He's going to be way more expensive than Letson to sign.
  12. He hit 101 on his final pitch of the night. That's the version of Rodriguez we talked about potentially being protected from the Rule 5 draft before the start of the season.
  13. Wow I don't remember seeing 100 from him this season. That's awesome.
  14. Nunnallee likely will be very expensive to sign. Probably are talking 7 figures to get him. He was 200 on Pipeline, 98 on Fangraphs, and 52 on ESPN draft boards, so this is a much higher ranked prospect that any we drafted on Day 3 last year.
  15. This is basically how things are set up. Scenario where Levonas signs they have $6,313,720 to sign Meccage, Levonas, DeBerry and round 11-20 picks over $150K. Scenario where Levonas does not sign they have $5,025,580 to sign Meccage, DeBerry and round 11-20 picks over $150K.
  16. Yes the slot and 5% overage from the slot disappears but Levonas was going to sign for well over slot, so him not signing would leave money left over for other picks in round 11-20.
  17. Eduarqui Fernandez had an interesting day today. 0-0 with 4 BB, 3 R, 5 SB
  18. I'm going to have to go and watch but Yerlin Rodriguez just had his best inning of the season. Struck out the side in 12 pitches to finish the 7-3 win for Wisconsin.
  19. Carlos Rodriguez came on after Devin Williams in the 8th inning. A bit bizarre because I don't think he would have any sort of innings limit/restriction as he's only on pace for about 10-20 at most more IP than last season.
  20. Griffin Tobias signed for $247,500 so only $56,600 over slot.
  21. Dorchies and Tobias both signed as well. Combined $39K over slot between the two high schoolers. That leaves things looking like this.
  22. Pulled up about halfway to first base on a grounder in the 1st inning. Looked to be the right hamstring that was bothering him.
  23. Happy Birthday Joseph! Hope you have a great night with the wife!
