    Probably never as Zamora’s underlying batted ball data is hideous. Seigler can’t hit LHP. He might as well just be a LHH the way he’s hit from the right side in his career.

    It's the top of the 5th inning and Nashville has two players on cycle watch. Seigler is a HR away from the cycle (with an additional single) and Dalbec is a triple away from the cycle.

    Yeah I don't think that's at all true otherwise we would be seeing stark velo differences when they are on the home/road which just isn't the case.

    Just gotta laugh man. Hopefully it works out like last night but funny how it's happened 2 nights in a row. Last night Murphy didn't trust Zastryzny to face the top of the order down a run in the 8th then needed Zastryzny to come in during the 10th against the top of the order with 1 out and runners on the corner. Tonight Murphy doesn't trust Alexander to face the bottom of the order down a run in the 6th then needs Alexander to come in to face the bottom of the order in the 10th inning.

    I think the perspective is more so warped because the Brewers actual hitting is more like a bottom 6 offense in baseball. Their 87 wRC+ (after tonight) is 25th in MLB and well below league average. It's not an enjoyable team to watch at the plate. They don't hit for power, they don't hit for average, they aren't great at getting on base. They don't hit the ball hard or barrel it. 30th in Avg EV and barrel rate. 28th in hard hit rate. 27th in xwOBA as a team. The only thing they do at an above average rate offensively is run the bases. Even runs per game they are below the league mean runs per game which shows that there's a big talent drop off from the teams at the top of the league.

    Delgado plays a pretty routine ground ball behind second base too casually and it costs Misiorowski another run as the runner beats out the throw to 1st base.

    I don't think any SP this day in age should be making 5 starts in a row on 4 days rest (will be 6 in his next start as the off day will be Henderson's start) especially a rookie SP who due to the minor league schedule is only accustomed to pitch on 4 days rest once a month at most. It's just how the cards have gone. He had a start bumped up because Peralta had the groin thing. Had another bumped up because of Quintana's shoulder. Don't think this was planned and I don't think the shorter leash has to do with the 4 days rest. More just a matter of him not getting any run support so Murphy is going to really protect him third time through the order if it's a very close game.

    2025 Megill is just not a closer. Just not good enough at getting swing and miss in the strike zone.

    The inability to go six innings is a fallacy. We don't have any big time inning eating guys in our rotation but our guys would be going 6 innings more often if our offense wasn't so bad. Patrick would have gone 6 today if we were down 2-0 or up 3/4 to 0 but because it was a 1-0 game he got pulled.

    Uribe should not have been used today. 6 time in 9 days and 27 times in 51 games is absolutely insane usage. He's also warmed up multiple relievers that didn't end up being used. If you're going to use Uribe why the hell is Rob Zastryzny warming in the bullpen? There's zero reason if you're using Uribe that you should be pulling him for Rob Zastryzny.

    Uribe just threw for the 6th time in 9 days with a 36 pitch multi-inning outing in there. He's also thrown 27 times in 51 active games. Just absolutely insane usage.

    Also demand is higher at the deadline. In the offseason a team can improve through FA. At the trade deadline it's only the deadline.

    Really the issue is the score was 1-0. If Brewers offense could score runs our starters would be going 6 innings a lot more. Patrick would have probably gone 6 innings today if we were up 3 or 4 to 0.

    Have to tip the cap to Sam Garcia for eating a big 5 innings while pitching on 4 days rest. Completely blew past his previous high in pitches as well. 97 pitches today to 82 was the prior high.

    Ernesto just hit an absolute bomb. 107 EV, 418ft blast off the batters eye in dead center field. Also looks like he started cramping as he got to home lol.

    Cooper Pratt is having a rough game defensively today. Has cost the Shuckers potentially 4 outs in the 7th inning as the Smokies continue to cut into the lead.

    This is so tiring. They didn't keep anyone over Smith. They had an open 40 man spot even after drafting Connor Thomas in the Rule 5 draft. They just didn't keep Smith. There were spots.

    It's gone pretty under the radar with some of the more well regarded prospects in Biloxi doing well, but Luis Lara is quietly having a very strong season.

    Alexander is fine for now as a long reliever or mop up guy. Murphy using him today in a leverage spot when Ashby and Zastryzny are both available is just horrific.
