  1. It's not just pitchers either. You have high school age position players getting TJ now because they have been playing baseball year round for like a decade by the time they are 18 years old.
  2. So you're on a Brewers fan forum bragging about not being a Brewers fan anymore? That's a bit confusing.
  3. Yeah he’s been in my Top 30 for over half a year now which is probably bold for a guy who had average looking numbers in A+ last season. He’s just flashed really good stuff at times and I love his size/build. I also had him pegged as a guy with more untapped potential compared to most players his age because he played 4 years of JuCo which gave him a bit of a boost as well.
  4. I doubt they send Ashby down until Junis is back in the rotation. With 39 games in 41 days they seem likely to keep a 6-man rotation.
  5. Woessner definitely built off his impressive big league camp. Sucks that Biloxi didn't use a CF camera so we didn't get much of a view to watch. 6 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 SO. We had noted last year that Woessner while inconsistent had games where he was just dominant. Reminded me of Woodruff and Burnes on the mound. Excited to see if he can keep the velo up this year and stay consistent.
  6. He should have just used Vieira. Vieira was the guy he had warming up when it was 4-0. 4-0 down we had a win probability of 4%. 4-3 down we had a win probability of 17%. Murphy needs to just use our depth relievers when we are losing especially with a bunch of pitcher injuries and 39 games in 41 days. Instead of using 2 RP tonight we used 3 and warmed up another.
  7. I do feel like Wilson will come around. His stuff has been better this year. He was honestly pretty filthy tonight and outside of a hanging curveball was lights out. Milner on the other hand has me worried. Guys just seem to be teeing off on him even when he makes his pitches. Both the HR hit against him this year were on pitches he executed well but guys still smoked them.
  8. They for whatever reason light off fireworks for every HR even when the roof is closed. The haze doesn’t impact the players but it absolutely lowers the picture quality for those watching on TV
  9. Murphy had Vieira up and warming for the 9th when we came to bat in the 8th. We entered the 9th still losing. Why he decided to use Milner instead of Vieira there makes very little sense. Then to compound things he burns another RP instead of letting Milner face Rodriguez with us losing by 2. The same manager that let Bryan Hudson face Rodriguez in a high leverage spot yesterday. Instead of just having Hall, Wilson, and Vieira pitch we had Hall, Wilson, Milner, and Bukauskas pitch with Vieira having warmed up. I really don’t feel great about Murphy keeping the bullpen fresh over the entire season.
  10. The pitch clock likely has some impact, but there’s so many reasons pitcher injuries seem more frequent. 1. Velo and spin rates are at all time highs 2. Pitch clock reduces recovery time 3. Single sport specialization is far more common now so pitchers have more wear and tear on their arms pitching year round before they go pro Throwing a baseball is not a natural movement the body should make so when you combine higher effort/torque, less recovery time, and more accumulated wear and tear you’re going to see more injuries.
  11. Pretty sure he's just starting the year in the ACL. Have to keep in mind he was really young for his draft class. He didn't turn 18 until November 17th last year. Cooper Pratt turned 19 on August 18th last year so he's almost 15 months older than Bitonti.
  12. Kind of funny that his ball/strike calling in that game was actually really good.
  13. While the results haven’t been there he’s absolutely smoking the ball this year. 9 of his 20 batted balls have EV over 100. He needs to start elevating them, but nice to see he’s making lots of loud contact even with the poor slash line.
  14. I am right there with you in not liking it. I don't have much if any faith in Ashby putting up a good start with his velo still in the 92-93 range.
  15. The issue is who else are you using? Miley and Gasser are injured. Blalock and Junk are the only other stretched guys on the 40-man roster
  16. The offense was average in 2021. They got cold in September though and that carried over to the playoffs.
  17. You’re misremembering what actually happened in 2022. The offense was the strength of that team. The SP and bullpen were major letdowns.
  18. So I just glanced at the Brewers schedule and wow our schedule has to go down as one of the dumbest ever made. We have 3 off days before our 6th game. Then from April 5th to May 15th we play 39 games with 2 off days. Really thankful that we got 2 days off this week!
  19. Yeah the process if/when things are operating smoothly should make the experience better for everyone. Coming from the Fox Valley area, if I don’t get to the game 2+ hours early on a busier day then I typically have to wait 30-90 minutes to get from in view of AmFam to actually parking my car.
  20. Incredible article @Matthew Trueblood, Love this stuff so much.
  21. I feel like this just is too complicated. Ramirez got ejected and got a 3 game suspension. That seems like an adequate punishment to me. That's 3 games the Mets will have to use a 7 man bullpen.
  22. Trueblood's article was talking about his FB being elite at 95 not at 91-93. He had 15 swings against his FB yesterday with 0 whiffs and an average EV of 92.5 and a .428 xwOBA against.
