  1. That's brutal. What looked like our biggest strength going into the season now has a some question marks.
  2. Thats how I hope they would do it if Williams was out. Rather than commit to 1 pitcher go by committee and matchups. If it’s a LHH heavy 9th I’d even consider Hoby for the close.
  3. Brewers website has Blalock going to Nashville, but Curt Hogg said he's going to Biloxi. Is there a reason for that?
  4. Brewers featuring their most MLB looking lineup of ST tonight.
  5. Murphy just announced Turang as the opening day starting 2B. I expected this. Would expect a much shorter leash than last year for Turang though.
  6. Rosiak has me very confused on twitter. In his article he mentioned Arroyo having no options works in his favor to make the team. I asked why that matters because he's a NRI on an MiLB deal so he doesn't need to be optioned back to AAA. Rosiak then claimed that If Arroyo isn't added to the 40-man he would be able to be claimed by any team? I'm really confused.
  7. So Todd Rosiak posted his Opening Day Roster prediction. SP - Peralta, Hall, Rea, Ross, Junis RP - Clarke, Hudson, Wilson, Bukauskas, Milner, Peguero, Payamps, Uribe C - Conteras, Sanchez IF - Hoskins, Turang, Adames, Arroyo, Miller, Ortiz, Bauers OF - Yelich, Frelick, Mitchell, Chourio
  8. How many times are you going to post this on different forums? We get it you love Trevor Bauer.
  9. I imagine they would need to trade to get him. Doubt he makes it to the Brewers waiver priority.
  10. Mitchell’s average comes in a super small sample size with him dramatically overperforming his peripherals. Also Wiemer was called up before Frelick and Mitchell wasn’t injured so don’t know how you can say Frelick and Mitchell going down opened the door for him.
  11. Seems pretty unlikely. While he has 4 HR he’s striking out in nearly 50% of his ST PA so far with 0 walks. If I remember correctly BB% and K% are one of the few stats that actually seem to indicate future performance from ST.
  12. Brett Wichrowski (13th round pick last year) just hit 99 on the gun against the White Sox today. He also struck out Brewers MiLB nemesis Tim Elko. I think @Joseph Zarr might have a new name to watch this year!
  13. So today is officially 3 weeks until Opening Day. We have seen about a couple weeks of games. What is everyone's current Opening Day 26 man roster prediction? Here's mine: C - Contreras, Sanchez, Haase. With Sanchez being brought along super slowly (today was his first day facing live pitching) I think Brewers opt for caution and roster Haase to start the year. IF - Hoskins, Turang, Adames, Ortiz, Dunn, Bauers OF - Yelich, Chourio, Frelick, Mitchell SP - Peralta, Miley, Junis, Hall, Rea RP - Ross, Wilson, Peguero, Megill, Milner, Payamps, Uribe, Williams Optioned to AAA - Ashby, Bukauskas, Clarke, Hudson, Junk, Quero, Capra, Miller, Monasterio, Perkins, Roller, Wiemer Optioned to AA - Blalock DFA - Vieira
  14. Montgomery especially because if he opts out early you can put a QO on him and get a comp pick.
  15. I don't think they would have to trade Adames. They could sign Montgomery to a pillow deal and still be under the 2022 opening day 26 man payroll.
  16. My original post literally mentioned he had accusations against him. Singular. Not 4 plus multiple restraining orders like Trevor Bauer.
  17. Yeah Trueblood did a fantastic job. Honestly was just really nice getting articles from someone who seems to really understand the modern analytics side of the game. No disrespect to Rosiak but I feel like Trueblood's articles were exactly what I want from someone rather than the more surface level stuff he puts out.
  18. According to Robert Murray on his latest Baseball Insiders Podcast episode, the Brewers are quietly scanning mid-tier SP free agent market with Michael Lorenzen and Mike Clevinger being the two names that were mentioned. Murray mentioned this at the 11:20 mark of the embedded video. Lorenzen has a career 4.11 ERA and 4.32 FIP. He's coming off an up and down 2023 season where he was having a nice bounce back season in Detroit before being shipped to Philadelphia at the trade deadline where he struggled outside of his first two starts. Clevinger has a career 3.45 ERA and 3.87 FIP. He's coming off a bounce back season in 2023 after a rough 2022. There were some off field question marks regarding a domestic violence accusation that did not end up leading to a suspension. With Wade Miley's health to open the year a question, should the Brewers add more SP depth if the price is right? View full rumor

  20. Of course the garbage Bally isn't working with Misiorowski is pitching. The only reason I continued watching the game and Bally's trash doesn't let me see it.
  21. Players need to earn their position in the batting order said after saying Frelick who was a below league average hitter last year needs to lead off...that's some type of logic.
  22. Rosiak said on camp report day that Miley had an offseason illness that left him needing to add weight coming into camp. Could be the reason. I've seen nothing about him being injured.
  23. Felt like there was always a chance this could happen after he showed up to camp wanting to add weight. Rosiak said an offseason illness made him lose a lot of weight. I think being cautious with Miley and letting him get his body where it wants to be would be way smarter than rushing him to be ready for the start of the season.
  24. Savant's arm strength metric isn't raw average. It's average of the top 5% of your throws. If it was just raw average then I wouldn't pay much attention to it for the reasons you said.
