  1. Might go down as the best first post in this site's history! What a find!
  2. This doesn't make much sense for the Brewers. Taking Collins out of the lineup does not make the Brewers better. Kwan's defense would also take a dip in Milwaukee because so much of his defensive value comes from how well he plays the big LF wall in Cleveland to use his arm as a weapon.
  3. Are you sure you have to stay in AAA all year? I thought you just had to be on the AAA roster in the offseason
  4. Yoho had completely lost his release point. He threw a combined 1 pitch in the strike zone to Busch and Tucker with most of the pitches missing up and arm side because his arm was late.
  5. I've soured a lot on Yoho this year though not necessarily because of how poor he has pitched in the big leagues. Devin Williams blowing the series last year really has made me quite velo-pilled when it comes to leverage relievers. I just think Yoho ultimately ends up as a Milner/Anderson style middle reliever who relies on being very unique rather than with sheer overpowering stuff.
  6. Knew it wouldn't be long for one of the human ump defenders to defend that terrible call. It was a clear strike.
  7. I still can't believe there are Brewers fans in here who defend human ball/strike umping. That inning was dramatically changed because of 2 huge misses that went against the Brewers
  8. And Tristan Peters is 25 years old repeating AAA still yet to make his MLB debut. This level of prospect has a pretty low likelihood of panning out.
  9. Eric Haase DFA would be my guess
  10. I’m good with this even if Areinamo wasn’t pretty much completely blocked by better prospects the level below and above him, I just don’t buy that his swing is going to work at the MLB level.
  11. Both Parker and Coil were college juniors not seniors
  12. I mean that's clearly the strategy but if the players turn down the money what can you do? It's a risky strategy and you probably can't expect it to work out as perfectly as it did in 2023 every single year.
  13. A bit dramatic don't you think? Brewers spent down to basically the last dollar in 2023. It probably just ended up that nobody bit on the rest of the pool.
  14. That might be it. Brewers didn't go into the 5% overage last year.
  15. These leagues need to wake the heck up and stop thinking about the short term monetary gain and think about big the consequences of this scale of sports gambling is going to be.
  16. Though my hopes for Cadiz have gotten pretty slim as he's still playing in the WCL as of last night. He's crushing that league. Basically a Top 10 hitter in the entire league.
  17. Chalk it up to might be a big reach but Braylon Payne is now following Ma'Kale Holden on instagram. That was definitely not the case until today.
  18. I feel like that's really overstated. Here's our trade history with Tampa since Stearns was hired Gregory Barrios for Aaron Civale Alex Jackson for Evan McKendry Victor Castaneda for Javy Guerra Evan Reifert for Mike Brosseau JP Feyereisen and Drew Rasmussen for Willy Adames and Trevor Richards Jesus Aguilar for Jake Faria Ji-Man Choi for Brad Miller Cash for Jhan Marinez
  19. Yeah I just think Areinamo by himself wouldn't be close to a realistic offer. If it was then Areinamo would already be in Montgomery. Lowe has a career 125 wRC+ and has a very affordable club option for 2026. Lowe has injury issues and isn't good defensively but career 125 wRC+ hitters don't grow on trees.
  20. I mean I think every Brewers fan would jump at that trade. I don't think that's a realistic trade even if BTV thinks it is an overpay on the Brewers part. I think it would take quite a bit more to get Lowe.
  21. My concern with a whole Suarez trade is this is a guy who is 34 having a career year. I think you're paying excess value for production you're unlikely to get. I don't think rest of season projections should be taken as religion but they vary from 113 to 126 wRC+. I just don't want to give up a package featuring a young controllable MLB level starter plus 2 more prospects for a guy who projects to be a roughly 120 wRC+, bad baserunning, bad defense 3B.
  22. Feel like most here would not want to do this?
  23. Hiura in his Nashville AAA career - 142 wRC+, 28% K-rate (not counting 2019 in the PCL) Dalbec in his Nashville AAA career - 130 wRC+, 34% K-rate (not including today)
  24. Sounds have finally found their Keston Hiura replacement. AAAA player who mashes AAA but can't make enough contact to hit in MLB
