  1. Well the issue is when Perkins and Mitchell return that he will be going down. Can't send down Monasterio over Collins because then you have no backup infielders and Collins is more of an emergency infielder not a legit option at 2B/3B. That or it will be down to Collins or Perkins for the final roster spot considering Mitchell is likely guaranteed a spot.
  2. Yeah definitely feels like the Brewers found a tell or something. Brewers are making a ridiculous amount of hard contact right now on an assortment of different pitches.

  4. And instead of doing a doubleheader tomorrow it's now a doubleheader in August while the Brewers are in the middle of an 18 games in 18 days stretch. Now 19 games in 18 days. Ridiculous.
  5. Wisconsin's game today was canceled due to weather. That should help the thin Wisconsin pitching staff get through the week.
  6. Looks like the hunch was correct! Tyson Hardin promoted to AA and Coleman Crow promoted to AAA
  7. Nothing has been announced, leaked, or rumored but I have a hunch that Tyson Hardin got promoted to AA and is starting tonight for Biloxi. Hardin isn't listed as a starter for Wisconsin this week. All of Biloxi's starters for this week are listed except for today. Hardin last pitched on 6/11 which would line him up to start today. We know Coleman Crow is getting promoted to AAA which opens up a spot in Biloxi's rotation.
  8. It’s been like this for like 3 starts in a row where his FB velo ranges like 7-8mph within one start. It’s definitely weird.
  9. Just a correction, Collins was a minor league Rule 5 draft pick not a waiver pick up.
  10. Wind is blowing out at Wrigley. Doesn't feel great considering Patrick is one of the most extreme flyball pitchers in MLB.
  11. RHP Ethan Dorchies assigned to Carolina from ACL Brewers
  12. Looks like @Ro Mueller was correct. DSL Gold is listed as suspended and will be finished on 7/4. DSL Blue is listed as canceled.
  13. 3rd largest in MLB (min. 50 innings) this season behind Sandy Alcantara (7.14 ERA, 4.71 FIP) and German Marquez (6.62 ERA, 4.19 FIP). Brown has had bad luck but his xERA is pretty much halfway between his ERA and FIP sitting at 4.48. He has a really good K:BB ratio but when he gives up contact it's pretty rough. His xwOBA on contact against is 7th percentile in MLB
  14. No chance. They traded for Devers because they are going all in on the present. They aren't going to follow that up by trading their best position player.
  15. I don't see how adding Devers doesn't make them a true contender. They have arguably the best 1-2 punch in baseball, the best bullpen by WPA in baseball, and now a really good 1-4 in the order with Lee, Ramos, Devers, Chapman
  16. I don't know why people are worried about salary. San Francisco is a mega market that likely doesn't care if Devers contract is eventually under water. They aren't the Milwaukee Brewers.
  17. Which might be what's necessary to get into the playoffs.
  18. Reported that Red Sox aren't absorbing any salary. San Francisco owes the rest of the contract.
  19. James Tibbs and one more unnamed prospect are heading to Boston as well. Tibbs was San Francisco's 1st round pick last year.
  20. I believe @Jim Goulart is going to be doing articles at some point this month listing the Rule 5 eligible guys and minor league FA eligible guys.
  21. Was that comparing all of 2024 to 2025? Or 2024 A ball to 2025 A ball? If it was all of 2024 to 2025 then the contact rate dropping would make sense because of the ACL numbers being included.
  22. Has there actually been a significant jump in swing and miss? Per Fangraphs he was at 69.4% contact rate in 2024 in Carolina. Not including yesterday he's at 69.7% contact rate in 2025.
  23. Wasn't able to watch but yet another solid start from Coleman Crow today. 75 pitches, 53 strikes, 11 called strikes, 14 swinging strikes 70.7% strike rate 33% whiff rate 14.7% called strike rate 18.7% swinging strike rate 33.3% called strike+whiff rate
