    Not sure how it's putting words in your mouth when literally in this thread you were calling ABs garbage when guys were chasing splitters below the zone. Mitchell with another garbage AB chasing a 3-2 splitter below the zone.

    If that was a splitter below the zone and Turang chased and whiffed for a strikeout you'd be saying how it was a bad chase and undisciplined. Gausman dominated us tonight and Turang certainly was not alone in that regard.

    Sure but look at all of the times hitters chased splitters well below the zone to strike out. That's the game Gausman plays. You never know if a FB or splitter is coming so sometimes you guess wrong and get caught watching a FB for strike three and other times you end up chasing a splitter way below the zone for strike three.

    Come on now. That wasn't even close to right down the middle and him sitting there watching that was no different than all of our hitters who chased splitters below the zone to strike out.

    Lara as a LHH has been awful against these RHP with splitters and changeups.

    Needs to lower his hands like Contreras did. Contreras was late on everything and has been way more on time since he lowered his hands.

    Turang needs to go on the IL. He's the worst hitter in our lineup right now

    Feel like Turang needs to take a short break on the IL. Just doesn't look good right now at the plate.

    In most environments I agree but OF is very tough to play in Wrigley with the wind. Bauers has really struggled on pretty much every ball hit his way in this series and with Henderson and his FB tendencies on the mound you can probably expect more flyballs hit his way today.

    Don't love Bauers out in RF after his rough showing out there so far this series. Hope it doesn't end up mattering.

    Just a really bad comparison. In 2014 with 23 games remaining in the season the Brewers were 3 games behind in the division race and only had a 45% chance of making the playoffs per Fangraphs

    Brewers currently have 98.6% odds of winning the division per Fangraphs. If they split the next two games that probably would increase to closer to 99%. That's pretty much almost impossible. Fangraphs calculates these odds by running 20,000 simulations based on ROS projections for individual players and playing time. If Brewers split the next two they would have an 8 game lead with 21 games remaining and a magic number of 14. If the Brewers went 10-11 to finish the year the Cubs would need to go 18-3 to tie the Brewers in the standings. I'd consider those odds almost impossible.

    I can't recall saying anything other than Ewing had much better underlying numbers than Lara at the time. I don't think I ever opined that Ewing was rightfully/wrongfully called up.

    Not counting tonight I'm going to go 12-11. They get the franchise record in wins with 98 but come up short of 100 in part because they take their foot off the gas a bit in the last 10 days of the season.

    Feel like Brewers also might be off the gas pedal by the end of the month though that probably depends on how close the Braves and Dodgers stay in the race for the bye. The last two years they have gone 13-13 and 12-13 in September.

    Hate to say it but might kiss him being in the Brewers org goodbye as well. He still has another option year but he'll be 33 this offseason with his velo seemingly gone. I think he's a likely non-tender candidate

    I’ve noticed the same since he came off the IL. Part of me speculates that he isn’t feeling as healthy as he’s letting on and that’s why it looks like he’s laboring so much more out on the mound.

    If you hit Ortiz for Hamilton then Yelich needs to play in the field when you use a position player to pitch next inning which will never happen
